RHAMA Islamic Relief Fund, Norway is a Norway-based international non-profit organization dedicated to provide relief and development services to vulnerable and underprivileged communities across the globe. Rahma provides a platform for humanitarian relief and development projects to be undertaken. It serves as a voice and channel for Norwegian stakeholders in development countries. We are an Isla
mic charity organization and our programmes are driven by the humanitarian spirit of Islam. We provide humanitarian assistance to people in need based on Islamic principles of charity, equality, kindness and sacrifice and regardless of their faith, gender, age, ethnicity and beliefs. VISION:

To improve the life quality of vulnerable people through sustainable development and ensure timely humanitarian assistance in need. WE DO THIS BY:
* Reaching out to people with limited or no access to basic services, complementing, but not substituting, the efforts of government and other providers.
* Enabling rural people create services they need and giving them access to the opportunities by:
• Organizing them into viable social groups. • Giving them a feeling of empowerment that reinforces poverty reduction process.
• Convincing them that they can plan and act to improve their lives. The objects of the Foundation are to provide aid to people who are the victims of natural disasters or have suffered other tragedies in their lives. The organisation will give priority to the following tasks:
• Emergency aid following major disasters
• Projects that are environmentally, economically and socially sustainable.
• Focus on women and children; including the provision of aid to impoverished widows and orphans to meet their basic needs (food, clothing, necessary medicines and schooling).
• Aiding the poor who are unable to purchase essential medicines and health services.
• Other projects that support human rights and contribute to increased democratisation.
