Shwe Kanbawza Self Help Group
SKBZ; Shwe Kanbawza is a registered local non-governmental organization (LNGO), operating as a non-sectarian and non-profit entity. Shwe Kanbawza Self Help Organization was founded in December 2010 in Pinlaung Township with 5 members, grown now to 34 members. SKBZ members come from the native ethnic groups of the area (Pa’o, Shan, Bamar) and were all born and grew up in the villages of Pinlaung Township.
SKBZ implemented development and capacity building micro projects in in Pinlaung,Naung Shwe Hsihseng Townships. The main donors of Shwe Kanbawza Self Help Organization are Norwegian People Aid (NPA), Dan Church Aid (DCA)/UNDEF, People in Need (PIN), Mercy Corps, MEDA Myanmar, ILO, Pact-Myanmar, RI, MHF, UNICEF, Oxfam, MAG, PUI , UNODC, WFP and SCI. According to the financial assistance of the donors, the Shwe Kanbawza Self Help Organization has implemented the 6 community development projects since 2011. Major activities of the community development projects were Forming Self Help Woman group and CBOs, Strengthening of Civil Societies, Capacity building, Livelihood Support, Health Education, Good Governance, Health, Drug Prevention, MPCA, Gender, Women Empowerment, Environmental protection, WASH and Humanitarian Assistance.

Report to : Director and Program Coordinator SKBZ (Policy)

Field Ratio : 30 %

Project Manager for Education.
Specific Responsibilities
1.Guidance of Director
• Under the Direct Supervision of Director, make a real time information sharing to Director and following the directive of Director.
• Obligation to mandatory following the principle-agent working practices and directives of the Director and need to uphold the identity of the organization.
• Striving to achieve project outputs and outcome in timely manner with existing workforce and diverse circumstance of Staffs under the guidance of Director.
• Must be followed precisely the policy compliance as per prescription of Financial Manual, Office Memorandum, procedures of CFN and directives of Director.
2. Project implementation and project management
• Ensure the development and application of common standards, tools and practices for planning, implementation, monitoring, learning and reporting
• Ensure the effective planning and implementation of activities including assessments, studies, capacity building initiatives, setting up and running of data management, evidence and knowledge management, and dissemination activities
• Complementary contribute the responsibility of MEAL responsibility (due to limitation of resource allocation)
• Work with project assistant and M&E officer and other team members to establish effective monitoring systems and which are in relation to project activities, budget allocations and financial expenditure
• Develops work plan and monitoring and evaluation plan to ensure the quality project deliveries in line with strategic plans of staffs strengthening project
• Ensure the quality delivery of project implementation and achieving expected outputs & outcomes
• Leads and develops training guidelines/curriculum, tools, manuals and IEC materials in coordination with consortium partners, project assistant, team members and Project Governance Body.
• Organizes and facilitate capacity development training to ensure the proper understanding of manuals, procedures, and tools and the strengthening the technical competencies of programme team
• Technical and overall support to project staff for capacity development in areas of child survival and development (child protection, maternal and BE, NFE and ECCD)
• Ensure staffs improved their capacity and performance and utilize the small grants effectively and efficiently manner.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other Child protection, BE, NFE and ECCD and to help support each other as necessary
• Establish and maintain responsive community’s compliant & feedback mechanisms (CFRM),
• Contributes to the development and implementation of innovations in his/her specialty and contributes closely to their dissemination to teams and other colleagues
• Any other tasks assigned by management Committee and management Committee member (Policy).
3. Developing, Implementing and Evaluating Trainings
• Develops training curriculum, agenda and tools for respective and thematic areas/topics in coordination with consortium partners, and team members.
• Coordinates with training agencies/ organization (as required) and assess the gaps/areas that project staff need to improve their capacity
• Organized and facilitate the capacity development training especially for field staff and volunteers and prepare training report, including evaluation of the training
• Prepares and/or develop IEC materials as necessary adapting to suit the local context
4. Finance Management
• Mandatory following the policy compliance as per prescription of Financial Manual, Office Memorandum, procedures of CFN and directives of Steering Committee and Steering Committee member(Policy).
• Prepares monthly financial plan according to planned project activities
• In his/her professional activities, adhere to the values of CFN: value system, professionalism and credibility
• Assists to examine budget vs actual reports on a monthly basis in order to monitor expenses in good time and guide future spending and allocations in field of activity
• Ensures effective budget management and administration of project finance 5. Communication, Coordination and Supporting as Liaison
• To excellent communication with strong interpersonal skills and able to deal with Steering Committee, consortium partners, key stakeholders, local CSOs and communities
• To maintain good relationship with local key actors including volunteers, CSOs, INGOs/NGOs/CBOs in project area
• To work closely with Finance focal person for smooth processing of project implementing activities
• To support the line manager to effectively liaise all monitoring visit by senior staffs or donors 6. Reporting
• Prepares and submitting English version reports for monthly activities, training, assessments, surveys, field trip to funding agency and project governance body & steering committee
• Preparing the donor reports (English Version)

8.–Operational Risk Management
• Complies with CFN’s Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding Policy of CFN.
• Report any breach observed in the framework of this policy during his/her professional activities both as regards the proven or suspected offence and a preventive breach.
• To commit to other Risk Management Policies including PSEAH policy, and Anti-Fraud policy
9. Others
• Undertakes such additional tasks as may be required, especially when urgent action is required to respond to emergencies or to requests from delegation level, regional or donors
• Respects and implement this job description which may be amended by consent of Lead applicant (Country Representative) in order to reflect and correspond to future changes and developments Qualifications and Experience:
• At least 5 years of experience and exposure in Project Managers role, and Project Coordinator role in respective projects in NGOs.
• Demonstrate the proved good records of competencies in project management, financial management and staff management
• Well experience of engagement and dialogue with grass roots CBOs and strengthening their capacities and having good practices
• Holding Bachelor's degree from recognition of Ministry of Education and attained relevant Diploma
• Profound experiences of implementing capacity building project and strengthening CBOs in complex and diverse settings
• Project implementation experience and exposure in one or more of the following projects: BE,NFE,ECE, CBOs capacity building and organizational development;
• Sound knowledge of data management, data verification/validation, data analysis and data presentation
• Proven capacity to supervise, and coach staff and partners on both technical and project management skills
• Proven ability to represent the organization to donors and other stakeholders
• Experiences of working in humanitarian crisis setting and/or peri-urban areas
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
