A brief History of Kanpetlet Town ( Loknu Land)
Kanpetlet Town was founded in 1899 and is geographically located in the western part of Myanmar. They are ; Yah, Yin Du, Mum,Opu and Dai. Kanpetlet Township is surrounded by Minpya of Rahkhine state to the east , Paletwa to the west and Mindat to the north ( Her neighbor).Kanpetlet Township is also a place where the third highest mountain can be found ( Khonu M'Cung) which means " Mother of the regions or the Land. The Local name is " Khonu M'Cung which is in english " Mt.Victoria".This Khonu M'Cung or Mt.Victoria has been being visited by many tourist from different parts of the globe and make herself known to the World by means of letting in to discover or experiences of it uniqueness of her bosom of beautiful scenery world with a warmly welcoming atmosphere given by the Nature. The mountain is known as " Khonu M'Cung by the Local People.It elucidated, word by word, the word " Kho" means Land,Nats,place or region and the word " Nu" means Mother or huge and the word " M' Cung" means Peak, cape or headland. Therefore, the definite name of of the mountain is " The Mother of the Land or Noble mountain"
The word used in the context o Loknu Land is driven from Ch (Chin) dialect. This Organization set up on the basis of our burning Hearts dedicated to implementing the tasks of this organization.This Organization , that is to say, came into existence due to the demand or clain of the Land as well as the region , where each and every role of developmental sector is in need of being dealt with development and transformation. In point of fact, of Nine townships of the Chin State, Kanpetlet Township is the most behind times. We , therefore, reunite all the Local people from Kanpetlet Living in Yangon and come to get together under the name " Loknu Land Development Organization" so as to serve for the Loknu Land as developers.....!!!
