UNESCO/The People's Republic of China - The Great Wall Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme 2026-2027

With a view to promoting the human resource development and capacity building of developing countries and to enhancing international exchanges in the field of education, culture, communication, science and technology and the friendship among peoples of the world, UNESCO the Government of the People’s Republic of China will co-sponsor a total number of seventy-five (75) fellowships for advanced studies in various fields, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, during the academic year 2025-2026.

Among these fellowships, twenty-seven (27) vacancies will be open for new recruitment to candidates from 135 developing Member States in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe and Arab region.

Candidates should submit their applications to the National Commission of their home countries no later than Friday, 23 January 2026.

Official nomination should be submitted by the National Commissions of invited Member States by Tuesday, 10 February 2026.

This six-month internship is an on-site paid part time internship at the Inya Institute, based in Yangon. The interns are expected to work a maximum of 20 hours per week (i.e., two and half working days per week).

Interns can consider the following four options of internships positions to work at the Inya Institute:
(1) Content Creation Intern (including content creation for two videos that may be posted on our institute's page);
(2) Survey Research Interns (Two positions) (for a review of different data sources related to Online Job Opportunities in Today's Myanmar Economy);
(3) Myanmar Language Book Review Intern (for a review of Myanmar language book which will be featured in our newsletter);
(4) Website Designer Intern.

An intern can choose only ONE position mentioned above.

The Community Solutions Program (CSP) is a year-long professional leadership development program for established community leaders working to improve their communities by addressing issues related to the democracy and human rights, environment, peace and conflict resolution, and women and gender.

Financial Support
The program covers the cost of most expenses associated with:

1. J-1 visa support
2. Round-trip travel from participants’ home city to the U.S.
3. Monthly allowance to cover housing, meals, and other living expenses while in the U.S.
4. Accident and sickness health coverage
5. Accessibility accommodations, such as ADA accessible rooms for in-person training, software such as JAWS, and community assistance and community training
