Prospect Burma's page for young people in Myanmar who are former, current or future students with us.

Prospect Burma addresses the skills gap in Myanmar (Burma) to tackle the country’s worsening humanitarian crisis. Many people are trapped in poverty, or fleeing armed conflict or natural disaster. We offer hope – and practical, targeted support – to equip individuals and organisations with expertise to match their energy and dedication to build an alternative, peaceful future. We work with local partners to provide access to critical thinking skills and formal education from post-high school level upwards. We offer scholarships to quality higher education abroad which isn’t available in Myanmar. We help alumni combine the skills and knowledge they have gained, to maximise the positive difference they can make for their country.

The selection process involved multiple levels of assessment and considered a range of criteria. Congratulations to everyone who progressed to the interview stage!

Prospect Burma Online Scholarship Applications Closing Soon!

The Prospect Burma Online Scholarship application window will close on 31 May 2026. Please make sure to apply before the deadline, as we do not accept late applications.

This year, we are prioritising students based inside Myanmar and along the Thai–Myanmar border areas. We also have a number of spaces reserved for individuals who want to study the PGCE programme (online) provided by the University of London.

If you are an educator with relevant teaching experience in helping young students in Myanmar to continue learning and thrive, we strongly encourage you to apply.

📚 What is the PGCE programme?

PGCE stands for Professional Graduate Certificate in Education. It is a professional teaching qualification that helps educators improve their teaching skills, classroom practice, and educational knowledge.
