The nutrients-rich program was not only encouraging schoolchildren’s attendance, but we saw something greater, an alertness and excitement for learning. During the pilot study, we found out that most of the schoolchildren do not get the nutrients needed at home, as a result of poverty. This negative impact continues to affect learning outcomes for schoolchildren.
