Kumba Union Norway

Kumba Union Norway limbe Kumba is a city in Southwest Province, western Cameroon also known around Cameroon as K town. It had a population of 144,268 (at the 2005 Census).

The N8 and N16 highways meet at Kumba. The city is a trade centre for cacao and oil palms, and has a timber industry as well. Kumba is a local road junction, making it one of the main commercial towns in anglophone Cameroon.Trading in Kumba has attracted the interest of foreigners, mostly Nigerians {The Igbos}, who have always controlled a greater percentage of the Kumba main market. It is the largest city in the southwest province of Cameroon.

Kumba is the largest town in south-west Cameroon. It is an important regional transportation centre, connected by railway to Douala and by road to many other important towns in the country. Several major roads to the provincial interior radiate from Kumba, making it one of the main commercial towns in anglophone Cameroon.

Kumba is a trade centre for locally grown oil palms, rubber, tea, bananas, plantains, and cocoa (the major export crop). It also has a timber industry.

Compared to other African countries, Cameroon enjoys relatively high political and social stability. This has enabled the development of agriculture, roads, railways and large petroleum and timber industries. Despite this, large numbers of Cameroonians live in poverty as subsistence farmers. Power lies firmly in the hands of the president and his Cameroon People's Democratic Movement party. Corruption is widespread
