In Memoriam – Mr. Zoumana Bakayoko

🕊️ Farewell to a pillar of WAFA

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Zoumana Bakayoko,
2nd Vice-President of WAFA, President of APECI (Côte d'Ivoire’s Fertilizer Professionals Association), Member of Parliament for Séguéla, and elder brother of the late Prime Minister Hamed Bakayoko.

Mr. Bakayoko was a prominent voice in West Africa’s fertilizer sector — a man of integrity, vision, and unwavering dedication. His leadership, advocacy, and commitment to strengthening the industry have left a lasting legacy within WAFA and beyond.

He believed in regional unity, sustainable agricultural development, and the power of cooperation. He built bridges between institutions, businesses, and people.

Today, WAFA mourns the loss of a great leader, a brother, and a friend.

🕊️
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, loved ones, and to the entire Ivorian agricultural and political community.

May his soul rest in peace.
May Allah welcome him in His eternal light and mercy. Ameen.
