How does the YES program prepare you for your exchange year in the USA?

Before departing for the USA, each YES finalist must attend a Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) about a month before their trip. During the PDO, students cover important topics such as the program's goals, communication and support networks, host families, American high schools, American culture, cultural adjustment, budgeting, and more.

These sessions are designed to equip students with the knowledge and tools they need to anticipate challenges, overcome them, and make the most of their academic year in the US, ensuring they can succeed, thrive, and grow.
