Macedonian Chevening Alumni Association

Macedonian Chevening Alumni Association MCAA offers excellent networking framework for Chevening Scholars from all sectors to exchange views and contribute to the future development of Macedonia.

In the past two decades Chevening has provided fellowships and scholarships for master studies for Macedonian citizens at prestigious universities in the UK. By investing in various important areas Chevening has helped create leaders in many sectors such as politics, civil society, judiciary, banking, research and policy development, gender, creative industries, arts and culture, lobbying and advo

cacy. Our alumni include Macedonian leading politicians in government and opposition, banking, leaders in the civil society sector, as well as prominent figures in judiciary. Chevening has supported Macedonian creators and arts developers, who have helped development of creative industries in Macedonia. The Chevening programme has also invested in the business sector thus creating influential business people who today successfully run small and medium size enterprises in Macedonia. The Macedonian Chevening Alumni Association (MCAA) is led by enthusiastic Chevening Scholars from Macedonia. In 2012 with the support of the Chevening Alumni Fund and the British Embassy the MCAA gathered Chevening Scholars at a second regional conference to debate on the importance of Chevening, how to succeed with a Chevening Scholarship and what it means to be a part of the global Chevening community. MCAA offers excellent networking framework for Chevening Scholars from all sectors to exchange views and contribute to the future development of the Macedonian society. 🎥 Aspire & Achieve!

Implemented by the Macedonian Chevening Alumni Association with support from the Chevening Alumni Project Fund, this project brought together over 100 young people across North Macedonia, with online and in person events in Gostivar, Stip, Strumica, and Struga to explore their career paths and educational choices.

Through workshops, mentorship, and research, we captured real youth perspectives and turned them into insights for future activities.

In this video, we share moments from the workshops, key findings, and lessons learned by the team: Stefani Spirovska, Kristina Hadzi-Vasileva, Ana Jakimska, and Matej Trojacanec.

MCAA aims to continue supporting and empowering young people across North Macedonia.

With the support of the British Embassy Skopje, MCAA remains to connect young people from North Macedonia with their educational opportunities in the United Kingdom.

Very special thanks to Cvetanka Mihajlovska Misheva for the support along the way.

The video was produced by Suteren Studio.
