PROJECT ACTIVITIES
The following activities will be implemented within each of the 4 components:
COMPONENT1 – Activities:
- Supporting MLSP / other stakeholders in developing policy measures for support to SEs, in further improving the legal framework for SE, including harmonization / development of by/laws etc.
- Developing tools for monitoring policy measures for SE / training relevant MLSP s

- Upgrading the mechanisms for systematic data gathering on SE initiatives
- Assisting public / private institutions in development / implementation of financial instruments for financing creation, growth and survival of SEs
- Supporting the EU Delegation in the design, promotion, implementation and monitoring of Calls for Proposals for existing and potential social enterprises / entrepreneurs
- Supporting the creation / operation of an online data base / register for social enterprises in North Macedonia
COMPONENT 2 – Activities:
- Social Enterprises Support Centre with 8 Local points selected
- Knowledge transfer / direct capacity-building support, business coaching, events organizing, provision of common services, office space / equipment sharing
- Monitoring and evaluation system for measuring the impact / effectiveness of the established support structure, proposing sustainability measures
COMPONENT 3 – Activities:
- Capacity building – internships, study visits, mentoring, facilitation (working group on the legal framework of SE / Social Economy Network)
- On-demand support services / trainings - fundraising (preparation / implementation of EU funded grant applications), business development, (financial) management, training business advisors working with SEs for underrepresented groups
- Developing / improving methodology and coaching for MLSP / authorities for monitoring the legal requirements for the established SEs
- Developing / implementing a training plan for MLSP, other institutional actors and local authorities on their role in implementing the SE regulations / policies
- Implementing trainings for local self-governments, public sector operators and local CSOs on provisions and application of the new Law on Social Protection and the new Law on Public Procurement
- Facilitating exchange of experience with other support structures (web-portal, workshops, study visits etc.) COMPONENT 4 – Activities:
- Developing brands for SEs for offered / sold services and products
- Developing a communication strategy for promoting visibility / accountability of SEs
- Designing / supporting advocacy campaigns / events / social media / publications / videos
- Organizing targeted information sessions / activities for media, private sector (potential inclusion of SEs in private sector supply chains), youth as potential entrepreneurs, political actors and national and local decision makers
