Following an initiative from the Ministry of Economy and Delegation of the European Commission, the European Business Association (EBA) was established in September 2004. The European Business Association is an independent, non-government, non-profit, voluntary, business union of European enterprises and individuals doing business in the country, domestic enterprises and individuals working with E
U businesses and NGOs that have interest in promoting the country’s economic and social development and in fostering the country’s relations with EU. The European Business Association articulates, represents, protects, promotes and supports the interests of its members and of businesses in the country, through collective advocacy and networking activities. Besides, representing the interests of its members, the European Business Association would also be a catalyst for other potential EU investors to come in the country. European Business Association, promoting the sustainable economic growth assists the development of the market economy of the country and the integration with European Union and international economy. European Business Association communicates and acts as privileged interlocutor of the Government and European Commission and operates as an intermediary between the business community on one side and European and country’s policy and decision makers on the other.
