The Macedonian Women’s Lobby (MWL) is nongovernmental organization formed in 2001 unites a multi-ethnic, cross-party and interfaith coalition of women representing civil society, political parties, the Parliament, local authorities, trade union, media, as well as individual committed to improving the position of women in the Republic of Macedonia and of society in general. Working together on issu
es concerning the equal and active participation of women in social activities, the Macedonian Women’s Lobby contributes not only to the improvement of the position of women in society but, also of the society in general. At the same time, it acts as a strong integrative factor by encouraging mutual tolerance and bridging ethnic, religious and political boundaries.
