From 20 - 22 May 2026, the Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) organized a three-day training for high school students on the topic “Fake News, Algorithms and Polarization: Strengthening Youth Resilience” at the MultiКулти Youth Center in Kumanovo.
Through interactive workshops, group discussions, simulations, and practical exercises, the students explored how misinformation spreads online, how algorithms influence the content we see every day, and how digital spaces can contribute to polarization and emotional manipulation. The training encouraged participants to think critically, recognize unreliable information, practice fact-checking, and develop responsible online behavior.
The activity created a safe and engaging space for young people to exchange ideas, strengthen their media literacy skills, and better understand the impact of digital technologies on their everyday lives.
The activity was implemented within the project “From Awareness to Action (A2A)”, supported by GCERF, and implemented by MCEC in partnership with CID and LOJA.
