🚀 TUNE Network kicks off 2026!

On April 1st, we joined fellow member organisations from across Europe for the official online kick-off meeting of the TUNE Network!

With EU co-funding secured for 2026, the network is moving full speed ahead with an ambitious workplan focused on youth participation, democratic engagement, and inclusive governance.

Here's what's coming up this year:
🔹 Online training for youth workers and project managers
🔹 International training for young people
🔹 Launch of a Youth Committee and 3 Working Groups
🔹 A youth consultation survey across all partner countries
🔹 Local trainings and youth-led activities in our communities
🔹 A digital youth engagement campaign aiming to reach 20,000+ people across Europe 🇪🇺

The meeting also introduced the newly elected Coordination Board, which will guide the network with a stronger focus on transparency, accountability, and participatory decision-making.

We left the meeting energized and ready to contribute as 2026 is shaping up to be a year of growth, collaboration, and real impact for youth across Europe. 💪

Stay tuned as we share more updates from our work within the TUNE Network! 📲

On the last day of , we took a hike to the historically important monument of Mečkin Kamen. Up there, we discussed the Erasmus+ world and all of its perks, touching on all of the different types of projects, their process of creation, how to develop a good project idea and write applications, and the logistics behind it.

We spoke about the features and opportunities that Erasmus+ provides to young people, youth workers and organizations for their personal and professional development. We also asked questions and shared our own experiences with various projects organized with the support of Erasmus+ programme.

While being in nature and on our way back to the venue, we started to think about local follow-up activities that we will implement once we are back home. To help with this process, we were provided with a handout that allowed us to strategically plan and note down our ideas, thinking about the type of activities we want to do, its objectives, target group(s), methodology, place and time when we will do it.

Getting back, after a very much needed lunch break, we started our day destined for reflections, reminiscing and concluding what we have grasped throughout the past week.

First we presented our ideas for the follow-up activities in the plenary and then we went on to reflect on our expectations, fears and contributions that we had written down on the first day.

We continued with the final evaluation of the whole project. We did that verbally in the plenary through creative methods and with anonymous questionnaire in which we gave feedback about the organizational and logistic arrangements, levels of fulfilment of expectations, quality of the program, workshops and trainers, achieved learning outcomes and suggestions for improvement.

We wrapped the training course with a ceremony where we received our Youthpass certificates, revealed the identities of our secret friends, and had a final debrief of our stoic and entrepreneurial journeys.

On the 6th day of it felt like a full circle moment to the whole week. A day designed for the participants to plan, design, facilitate, structure and implement non-formal learning activities in practice - starting from an energizer, through a main method and ending with a reflection.

In the given timeframe, we were given the freedom to completely create a workshop from scratch based on what we learned throughout the week, incorporating both the Stoic and the entrepreneurial aspects. To do so, we were given with a template on which we were working collaboratively with our teammates and were receiving feedback from the trainers.

After designing the NFL activities, we also needed to think about the division of roles within the team, the materials that we will need, the space requirements and how we will facilitate the activity in a speedy way in order to test out our planned methods and learning process.

Separated into groups of 3 people, each of us having our own 15 minutes, we had the chance to put ourselves in the shoes of the facilitators with our actual trainers being completely quiet and taking the time to analyze and reflect on all of our works, highlighting both the positive and negative aspects.

All of the teams tried to maximize their creative boundaries, with one team focusing on the marketing aspect, another one made us enhance our sales skills, and another focusing on the work of some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world. Additionally, we had the chance to utilize the SWOT method of analysis in the business world, and lastly, we were given an object to sell, but against its original purpose.

At the end of each workshop, we took the time to reflect, both on the positive aspects of our activities and the wrongdoings. Our trainers gave us their respected opinions, closing down with a fruitful discussion, meant to improve our facilitating competences. We also received constructive feedback from the other participants who gave us tips on how we can improve.

We started the morning of Day 5 of with a visit to the municipality of Krushevo where we met with Tatjana Hasanu, Head of the economic development department and Natasha Papakochu. We learned briefly about the history of the city, the touristic offer, challenges of the city and how the city promotes itself. We also spoke about the importance of sustainable development and the need for cooperation between the Municipality, local NGO's and businesses.

Participants also had a chance to introduce themselves to the representatives of the Muncipality and to share where they are coming from and what are their local realities in relation to tourism, entrepreneurship and sustainability.

In the afternoon, we got introduced to the work of economists Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson and their book “Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty”. We had a task to read parts of the book and to identify important concepts on why countries have different level of development and how we can connect the ideas from the book to our realities. We also thought about how it relates to entrepreneurship, success and control.

Following this, we utilized the 4F principle of active reviewing, where we focused on the facts, feelings, findings and future as each of us tried to interpret these in our own countries and realities.

Continuing our day, the last session was reserved for cross-cultural learning, where it was time for Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia and Turkiye to be presented as goods on the market by representatives from other countries. Although it was quick, we managed to grasp on the spirits and virtues of these countries on a deeper level than we previously knew.

At the start of day 4 of , we got into an energizer that left us sweaty and short of breath. A much needed energy boost before the day that follows.

Continuing our Stoic journey, separated into five groups, we dived into the lives and works of the pillars of the Stoic philosophy, starting with Socrates, Zeno, Seneca, Epictetus, finishing up with the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. This workshop helped us to better understand what Stoicism actually stands for and how it’s trying to simplify the complex minds of our beings.

Continuing on, we dwelled into the practice of Stoic principles, that could not only make a greater business mindset, but also make us into calmer and more resilient people. Separated into groups, we had to act out short role-plays, in which we proved the validity of all 7 principles: Negative visualization, Premeditatio Malorum, View from above, Reflections, Voluntary discomfort, Amor Fati, Contemplation of virtues. We understood that these are all useful tools to strengthen the core values of human beings.

Next, as we were familiarized with both the Stoic principles and the entrepreneurial mindset, we embodied our own business ideas in a specific model sketch. As we worked on our business, we had to name our business, specify our target group, focus on value propositions, logos and taglines and what channels we will use to reach potential customers. Additionally, we had to figure out the revenue model or how our business is going to make money. Closing the circle, we had to somehow connect a certain Stoic discipline with our business, in order to improve our sense of entrepreneurship.

We wrapped up the day with the intercultural evening of Macedonia, Türkiye and Slovakia by enjoying their food, drinks and music.

In the start of day 3 of , even with our energizer, we started getting familiarized with the process of entrepreneurship by simply selling a pen to our partner.

What followed was analysis and separation of the successful presentation and selling of a product to investors. As we talked about target groups, marketing strategies, basis of business models, unique selling propositions, we unveiled the essence and vision of entrepreneurship.

Having put our business ideas on paper, and having them compared with another participant, we identified the pros, cons and spaces where our model could potentially improve and the location of our possible failures and how to ricochet from them the fastest.

Next we had an outdoor activity in which we were separated into groups and given a couple of pens each. Then we had to go around the town of Kruševo and start our business trade, repeating the process five times, interacting with the locals. The final results in our hands were sausages, a cabbage and a sports ball, which additionally adds to the hospitality and generosity of the residents of this town.

After our lunch, we warmed ourselves up with an energizer, continuing our Stoic Entrepreneurship journey with the analysis of the separate parts of what one business contains off. In 4 groups we tried to understand better the differences between StartUps and SMEs, analyzed the Support Systems, the Governmental Policies and the Fundings & Investors.

Furthermore, we continued with our standard evening activities, where Latvia has presented Slovakia and Greece presented Italy to the others. The goal was to present and sell these countries to the rest of the group as a product, including points such as the identity of the country, culture, location, statistics and ending with an interactive audience activity.

The day finished with the intercultural presentation of drinks, food, dances and music of Greece and Italy.

28/03/2026

We started the second day of our training course “Stoic Principles in Modern Entrepreneurship” with activities to get to know each other better by doing different ice-breakers and name games. Firstly, we said our name and did a gesture to make it easier to remember it. Then the others in line were supposed to repeat the names and gestures that came before them while also saying their name and doing their gesture. That quickly turned into a whole set of physical exercises.

When we got to know our names better, it was time to do a fun activity where we draw our faces as selfies, and we talked to the person that is next to us. We introduced ourselves more deeply and then the person next to us had to introduce us as if they are trying to impersonate us.

Next it was time for a ‘Mission impossible’ challenge! The activity provided the participants with an opportunity to express themselves creatively and improve their social and organizational skills. The goal was to complete 20 different tasks as a group in 60 minutes without getting guidance from the trainers. We are happy to say that the mission was very successfully completed by the group!

After showcasing the Mission results, everyone got a ‘secret friend’ that we need to make happy throughout the week by secretly giving gifts, doing kind acts and making surprises for them.

Following the getting-to-know each other and team-building activities, there was an introduction to the working agenda and planned methodology. We continued with sharing our expectations from the training course, how we can contribute to its success as well as the fears that might stop us in the learning process.

The last session of the day was dedicated to cross-cultural learning where the Turkish team presented Latvia and the Italian team presented Croatia to the others. The goal was to 'sell' the countries as products to the rest of the group by presenting their cultures, particularities and fun facts. The presentations also included information about the youth context in those countries and NGO sector reality.

We concluded the day with the first intercultural evening of Croatia, Latvia and Serbia where we could taste their traditional drinks, food and snacks as well as perform their traditional dances and hear their popular music.

20/03/2026

The study visit Non Formal Lab 3.0 – Crossroads brought together participants from Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Sweden. The group consisted of youth workers, teachers and educators interested in exploring how non-formal education methods can complement formal learning environments.

The main objectives of the study visit were to observe examples of non-formal methodologies used in formal education settings, learn how to integrate innovative non-formal learning approaches into youth work and educational contexts, exchange good practices among partner organisations, and create opportunities for long-term cooperation between organisations active in education and youth work.

During the visit, participants engaged in a series of visits to different educational institutions, including a kindergarten, a school, a university and a non-governmental organization. These visits allowed the group to observe how interactive, learner-centered and experience-based learning methods are implemented in practice.

One of the key visits took place at the University of Warsaw where participants met with first year Master’s students from the Adult Education and Development of Activities program. The students conducted interviews with the participants as part of their research, which created an opportunity for mutual learning and exchange of perspectives. Participants also joined anthropology class where discussions focused on how people behave differently depending on the environment and how physical and social spaces influence interaction, participation and group dynamics.

Throughout the study visit, participants explored alternative education methodologies and non-formal learning approaches that can be applied both in formal education and in youth work. They reflected on how to design interactive activities, facilitate experience-based learning sessions, and better address the diverse learning styles and needs of young people, especially in multicultural environments.

The study visit also provided a valuable space for sharing experiences and exchanging good practices among participants from different countries. Discussions highlighted how non-formal education can increase participation, creativity and learning by doing within educational settings.

Overall, the activity created new connections between organisations and strengthened international cooperation. Participants left the study visit with new ideas, inspiration and potential collaborations that will contribute to their future work with young people and to upcoming Erasmus+ activities.

Stay tuned for the upcoming training course in May, where we will further explore the idea of a “crossroads”, where formal education and non-formal learning meet to create more inclusive, creative and participatory learning spaces.
