We, the young people, need European solutions that are translated into practice at the national level. The International Youth Conference “European Values for the Future of SEE Countries” is response to the challenge. We strongly believe that the involvement of those who are the subjects of the policies to be developed is essential if unintended consequences are to be effectively addressed. Policy

making should be seen as a process which works with young people rather than for young people, if it wants to be successful in delivering solutions which support young people and are also responsive to their long term needs.

As we celebrated the 23rd edition of the International Youth Conference “European Values for the Future of SEE Countries”, this year’s gathering in Krusevo 🇲🇰 once again proved the power of youth dialogue 💬, collaboration 🤝, and shared vision 🌍 in shaping a united and forward-thinking Europe.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, from passionate young leaders 👩‍💼👨‍💼 and speakers to partners, facilitators , and supporters. Thank you for turning into a true space of ideas , action, and inspiration .
Together, we explored how the next generation is rerouting cooperation, redefining values, and reimagining the European future. This year, the conference saw record participation, cross-sectoral engagement, and vibrant discussions that bridged borders and inspired change.

👀Reframing Youth Narratives: Recognition, Reroute, and Reflection in the Region and in the EU

In an era marked by growing disillusionment and increasingly polarized discourse, youth narratives are too often sidelined, oversimplified, or misrepresented. This session brought together journalists and media professionals from across the region to examine how young people are portrayed in national and European media — and what impact these portrayals have on public opinion, policymaking, and the pace of EU integration.
🧠🗣️ Through dialogue and critical reflection, we explored how reframing youth stories — with accuracy, depth, and dignity — is essential for fostering trust, inclusion, and a sense of shared future between the Western Balkans and the EU. 📢🤝
