As a first generation of students at the University Goce Delchev, as students at the Law Faculty in Kocani we were placed in front of many challenges and temptations. In the moments when the whole energy of the competent and faculty of the University was focused on important and crucial activities such as construction and renovation of the premises of the faculty, and equipping of the lecture amph
itheater with educational teaching aids and equipment, setting up the Internet and open Internet cafe by Day free access to students, opening up a student café etc. Students didn’t get enough attention and many times, their rights which belong to them with the Statute of the University weren’t respected. In my opinion this is due to complete implementation of the Bologna Declaration and credit transfer system as a method in the educational process of the University and the inability of some teachers to adapt to this process and leave the old habit and way of working that they had at the Ss. This so-called violations of the rights of students was a reason to create a group of 15 students who daily fought with arguments on formal and informal way that were available for them to use it against this occurrence at the Law School in Kocani and they managed to win without any lost battle. This group felt capable to raise their activity on a higher level, the level of local and regional youth policy. The group decided to formalize the nonpartisan and nonprofit association of citizens under the name Association of law students and young lawyers Pavel Satev Kocani. We took the name of the revolutionary Pavel Satev for our association because Pavel Satev was the first Doctor of Law in Macedonia Ph.D. He was the first Minister of Justice in Macedonia in the period of ASNOM. As a trademark or logo of the association we took the carousel as a symbol of eternity. This symbol is present in Macedonia since ancient times. It was found on a Macedonian cup of 3rd century BC, coins, ornaments in the tombs of the king, the Macedonian folk costumes, the stone bridge in Skopje and the grave of Goce Delchev.
