Project Background:
One of the present Greece - Macedonia Cross Border Programme`s priorities is the enhancement of cross-border economic development, especially the entrepreneurship promotion as it constitutes a long-term guarantee for self-sustained economic development. In accordance to the real situation in the job market in the cross-border area of Greece and Macedonia and due to the fact tha
t vast population suffers unemployment and the entrepreneurship follows decreasing path in combination with the economic crises that emerged, the Project`s idea has been developed. By taking into consideration the fact that the decentralized areas are in even more difficult situation than the rest of the country, direct socio-economic support has been inevitable and essential. The Project is a tool through which the unemployed people and the existing enterprises will have the chance to develop their qualifications, to be supported for a new beginning and to be offered all this support for entrepreneurship that their countries should had done. The lead partners have decided that their partnership would be reinforced with partners experience in training programs and "green" organizations in order to cover all project`s aspects. Aim:
The Project`s general aim is the enhancement of the entrepreneurship in the cross-border area of Florina-Ohrid-Thessaloniki. The proposed aim is establishing of new individual, social and "green" enterprises and the enhancement of the existing ones. So as for this to be achieved, the Project`s activities aim towards an effective professional training and consulting - mentoring of its target groups on the entrepreneurial issues with the goal to offer them a qualified background, thus unemployed to be able to set up their own enterprises while the existing ones to enhance and develop. The establishment of new enterprises is interconnected with the second aim of the project - decreasing of unemployment. Expected Outputs:
• 5 managerial meetings for the project`s management and coordination
• Project`s website
• Full promotional package (1 communication plan, 7000 leaflets, 3000 CDs, 4 banners, 3000 notebooks and pans, 12 press releases, 40 radio releases, 2000 informative issues, logo and slogan and 1 promotional video)
• Two Final Conferences , one in Greece and one in Macedonia
• One SWOT and one PEST analysis
• One guide for authorization - certification procedure for the new enterprises
• 200 participants
• 1 benchmarking platform
• 1 platform for e-consultancy services and mentoring
• 1 training material (issued in 200 issues).
• 3 training programs of 100 hours for unemployed people
• 3 training programs of 100 hours for entrepreneurs
• One know-how and best practices exchange conference
• 1000 distance consulting-mentoring sessions for new entrepreneurs

Expected Results:
• 2000 visitors of the web site per anum
• at least 8000 people will be informed about the projects implementation and results
• at least 2000 entrepreneurs will use the benchmarking platform per anum
• 100 new individual and social enterprises established in the cross-border area
• 100 existing enterprises will be enhanced
• Governmental authorities will undertake national or local initiatives for support
