Retour sur les moments forts du Congrès mondial de la nature de l’UICN 2025 à Abu Dhabi ! 🌿

Du 9 au 15 octobre 2025, l’Association Analasoa a pris part au Congrès mondial de la nature de l’UICN, un rendez-vous international majeur pour la conservation de la biodiversité.

👉 Une semaine riche en partages, rencontres et apprentissages, marquée par :
✨ Le renforcement des capacités à travers les échanges avec les acteurs de la conservation du monde entier ;
✨ L’officialisation du Comité national UICN Madagascar, une étape historique pour la gouvernance environnementale du pays. 💚 Ce congrès fut aussi l’occasion de valoriser les initiatives locales et de porter la voix des communautés engagées pour la conservation et le développement durable de Madagascar.

🗳️ Le Congrès a également été un moment démocratique fort pour les membres de l’UICN marqué par l’élection du Président qui dirigera l’Union au cours des quatre prochaines années, l’élection des Conseillers régionaux, ainsi que l’adoption de motions importantes visant à améliorer les politiques de gouvernance environnementale à l’échelle mondiale.

Highlights from the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi! 🌿

From 9 to 15 October 2025, the Analasoa Association took part in the IUCN World Conservation Congress, a key global event for biodiversity conservation.

👉 A week rich in exchanges, learning, and meaningful connections, marked by:
✨ Capacity building through discussions with conservation actors from around the world;
✨ Official announcement of the establishment of the IUCN Madagascar National Committee, a historic milestone for the country’s environmental governance. 💚 This congress was also an opportunity to highlight local initiatives and amplify the voices of communities committed to conservation and sustainable development in Madagascar.

🗳️ The Congress also marked an important democratic moment for IUCN members: with the election of the President who will lead the Union for the next four years, the election of Regional Councillors, and the adoption of key motions aimed at strengthening global environmental governance policies.

🌿 Committed to protecting our natural heritage!

We are proud to take part in joint conservation patrols in Tsimanampesotse National Park, alongside Madagascar National Parks, local authorities, and Conservation Allies.

Southwest Madagascar is one of the most unique and threatened ecosystems on Earth.

This summer, we’ve launched joint conservation patrols in Tsimanampetsotse National Park to crack down on tortoise poaching, illegal logging, charcoal production, and fire threats.

Led by local partners—including Association Analasoa, Madagascar National Parks, and traditional authorities—these Conservation Brigade missions represent a new level of collaboration. Using hard data and deep local knowledge, we’re building a model of shared responsibility that puts wildlife protection back in local hands.

🌱 L’Association Analasoa représentée à la réunion d’évaluation du CEPF à Antananarivo 🌱

🎉 En cette Journée internationale de la biodiversité, nous sommes fiers de partager notre engagement en faveur de la nature — d’autant plus que le thème de cette année « Harmonie avec la nature et développement durable » reflète parfaitement notre mission.

☝️ Du 6 au 9 mai 2025, notre coordinatrice de projet a participé à la réunion d’évaluation du Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) à Antananarivo.
Cet événement a réuni des porteurs de projets œuvrant pour la conservation de la biodiversité dans la région de Madagascar et de l’Océan Indien.
🤝 L’association Analasoa a eu l’honneur de partager les avancées de son projet financé par le CEPF et la Fondation Franklinia, dédié à la conservation des espèces d’arbres menacées dans le parc national Tsimanampesotse.
🌳 Ce projet vise à protéger et restaurer les habitats naturels d’espèces végétales rares et endémiques, tout en impliquant les communautés locales dans la gestion durable des ressources.
🙏 Merci au CEPF, à la Fondation Franklinia et à tous les partenaires pour leur soutien et pour cette belle opportunité d’échange et de renforcement des synergies.
