Friends of Mandritsara (a UK charity) supports the Good News Hospital in and around the district of Mandritsara in Northern Madagascar

Friends of Mandritsara support the Good News Project in the town and district of Mandritsara in Madagascar. The project is jointly run with the Association of Bible Baptist Churches of Madagascar and includes: the Good News Hospital, the Good News School and the Voice of the Good News radio station, as well as a nursing school. The aim is to meet both the medical and spiritual needs to the distric

t, through medical and surgical services and a Community Health team, as well as daily Bible talks in the hospital wards and to the outpatients. Despite its remote location (six hours drive from the main road) it is a centre of excellence for club foot and va**na fistula surgery. The ophthalmology team also make trips to other parts of the island to perform cataract operations and dispense glasses.
