🇫🇷 Journée internationale du Caméléon 2026 à Andasibe

Le 9 mai 2026, la commune d’Andasibe accueillera la Journée Internationale du Caméléon, organisée pour la première fois à Madagascar par le Caméléon Center Conservation, en collaboration avec ses partenaires locaux.

Date : 9 mai 2026 à partir de 9h30
Lieu : Terrain de football d’Andasibe (district de Moramanga)

Cette journée vise à faire découvrir la diversité des caméléons et leur importance écologique, à encourager leur protection, à sensibiliser aux menaces sur leurs habitats, à valoriser les actions de conservation à Madagascar et à favoriser les échanges entre acteurs de la biodiversité.

Au programme :
• Cérémonie officielle et présentations scientifiques
• Expositions et stands d’information
• Jeux éducatifs, quiz et concours
• Animations culturelles
• Tournoi de football

FR l Une épopée de conservation 💚

🕐 Touché par la richesse de Vohimana et par les pressions qui s’exerçaient sur elle, il y a 25 ans, 🤠 Olivier Behra transforma le site de Vohimana en réserve expérimentale, une démarche visionnaire visant à créer un espace de conservation de la biodiversité allant au-delà des modèles classiques des aires protégées. Dès lors les actions de conservation se sont suivies jusqu'à ne plus avoir de déforestation depuis 2018.

✍️ C'est avec une immense fierté que nous annonçons la signature de l'ARRÊTÉ N°1355 DU 21 JANVIER 2026 de mise en protection temporaire de l'Aire Protégée, marquant une étape décisive pour La réserve de Vohimana : un joyau de biodiversité.

🤝 Cet événement n'est pas seulement une célébration des réussites passées, mais aussi un appel à l'action pour l'avenir. La conservation de Vohimana est un exemple inspirant de la manière dont il est possible de protéger notre environnement tout en impliquant les communautés locales.

💡 Grâce à des solutions économiques basées sur la Nature développées par l'Homme et l'Environnement, il a été démontré que la préservation de la biodiversité peut aller de pair avec le développement durable.

🌳 Aujourd'hui, la Réserve de Biodiversité de Vohimana est reconnue comme un espace de conservation communautaire, garantissant la protection de ce trésor pour les générations futures.
Ensemble, nous avons réussi et nous continuons à préserver ce trésor naturel inestimable !

🕐 Touched by the richness of Vohimana and the pressures it faced, 25 years ago 🤠 Olivier Behra conceived the Vohimana site as an innovative experiment aimed at establishing a biodiversity conservation area outside the traditional structures of protected areas. Since then, conservation actions have continued until there was no more deforestation in 2018.

✍️ It is with immense pride that we announce the signing of DECREE No. 1355 OF JANUARY 21, 2026 establishing temporary protection of the Protected Area, marking a decisive step for the Vohimana Reserve, an exceptional hotspot of biodiversity.

🤝 This event is not only a celebration of past successes, but also a call to action for the future. The conservation of Vohimana is an inspiring example of how it is possible to protect our environment while involving local communities.

💡 Through nature-based economic solutions developed by the NGO L’Homme et l’Environnement, Vohimana has demonstrated that biodiversity conservation can go hand in hand with sustainable development.

🌳Today, the Vohimana Biodiversity Reserve is recognized as a community conservation area, ensuring the protection of this treasure for future generations.

Together, we’ve made it happen and our commitment to protecting this priceless natural heritage continues.
