A Successful Quarter for Youth First!
Once again, our youth-centered approach has proven its effectiveness. Since July, we have continued to unlock more and more potential through our flagship programs and projects.
✅As for the She4She program, our 17 challengers had the opportunity to meet women leaders and experts in their fields who will serve as their mentors: Ntsiva Andriantsitohaina, Miora Rakotovao, Myriame Andriamampianina, Kanto Raholiarisoa, and Rebecca Andrianarisandy. They also took on the role of facilitators within their respective communities as part of the cascade training sessions, where more than 200 young women benefited from this experience.
✅As part of the Youth 360 project, Youth First had the immense honor of welcoming 30 youth workers from the 12 partner countries to Antananarivo for a training session on the use of Open Badges to recognize 21st-century skills in the professional world. A Word Café organized to celebrate International Youth Day also brought these stakeholders together with local and national partners to discuss the best ways to highlight young people’s skills and facilitate their transition into the workforce. The quarter also featured a job-shadowing initiative in which the organization’s Dutch partner, Breakthrough, organized virtual reality sessions with our support.
✅As part of the Stories Beyond Borders project, this quarter was marked by the recruitment of nine youth workers who will be the first beneficiaries of this global initiative. They joined the team in September and will participate in their first virtual international exchange this week, which is part of a four-month cycle. They will learn to use digital storytelling as a powerful tool to promote civic engagement among young people. This will mark the beginning of a wonderful international adventure for these brilliant young people!

Un trimestre fructueux pour Youth First !
Une fois de plus, notre approche centrée sur les jeunes a montré son efficacité. Depuis le mois de Juillet, nous n’avons cessé d’allumer de plus en plus de potentiels à travers nos programmes et projets phares.
✅Du côté du programme She4She, nos 17 challengers ont pu rencontrer des femmes leaders et expertes dans leurs domaines qui seront leurs mentors : Ntsiva Andriantsitohaina, Miora Rakotovao, Myriame Andriamampianina, Kanto Raholiarisoa et Rebecca Andrianarisandy. Elles ont aussi endossé leur rôle de facilitatrices auprès de leurs communautés respectives dans le cadre des formations en cascade où plus de 200 jeunes femmes ont pu bénéficier de cette expérience.
✅Dans le cadre du projet Youth 360, Youth First a eu l’immense honneur d’acceuillir à Antananarivo les 30 Youth Workers issus des 12 pays partenaires dans le cadre d’une formation sur l’utilisation des Open Badges pour la reconnaissance des compétences du 21ème siècle dans le monde professionnel. Un Word Café organisé à l’occasion de la célébration de la Journée Internationale de la Jeunesse a aussi réuni ces acteurs avec les parties prenantes locales et nationales afin de discuter de la meilleure manière de valoriser les compétences des jeunes et faciliter leur insertion au monde professionnel. Le trimestre a aussi été marqué par un job shadowing où le partenaire Néerlandais de l’organisation Breakthrough a organisé avec notre appui des sessions de réalité virtuelle auprès des jeunes.
✅ Dans le cadre du projet Stories Beyond Borders , ce trimestre a été marqué par le recrutement des 9 Youth Workers qui seront les premiers bénéficiaires de cette initiative mondiale. Ils ont été intégrés à l'équipe en septembre et participeront à leur premier échange international virtuel cette semaine, qui fait partie d'un cycle durant 4 mois. Ils apprendront à utiliser le storytelleing digital comme un outil puissant pour promouvoir la participation civique des jeunes. Ce sera le début d'une formidable aventure internationale pour ces brillants jeunes !
