🚀 The journey continues in Itampolo! 💚
Step by step, Black Soldier Fly farming is taking root. Some BSF microfarms are already active, and new farmers are joining the adventure through hands-on training. ✨
From transforming abundant Opuntia into feed for BSF larvae 🌵, to supporting poultry production 🐔 and enriching crops with BSF frass 🌱… a new circular farming cycle is growing. ♻️
Together with Turtle Survival Alliance, Madagascar Biodiversity Center is supporting sustainable development while contributing to the conservation of Madagascar’s threatened tortoises. 🐢💚

Chaque épluchure de fruit 🍌, chaque reste de légume 🥕 peut avoir une nouvelle histoire. 😊
Grâce aux larves de Black Soldier Fly (BSF), ce qui était autrefois considéré comme un déchet devient une ressource précieuse pour l’agriculture : une alimentation durable pour les animaux 🐔🐟 et un fertilisant naturel pour les cultures 🌱🌾.

Une petite créature, une grande mission : contribuer à un avenir plus durable. 🌍

💡Did you know? BSF (Black Soldier Fly) are a highly nutritious feed for fish, helping improve growth and reduce feed costs. 🌱
This is why we at MBC (Madagascar Biodiversity Center) started this project in Ambilobe.

🤝Madagascar Biodiversity Center (MBC) a pris part à cette rencontre internationale pour partager des expériences, apprendre, échanger et créer des liens avec les acteurs du secteur des insectes.
💡 Un message fort en ressort : il n’existe pas un seul modèle de développement. Des systèmes industriels aux approches communautaires, différentes voies peuvent toutes contribuer à l’économie circulaire ♻️ et à la sécurité alimentaire.
💚 De retour de Turin avec de nouvelles idées, des connexions renforcées et une motivation renouvelée pour faire avancer le BSF à Madagascar.
