AE TOT program : October 18, 2023, the follow up workshop of the RN7 iteration.
As this last follow-up ends the AE TOT program, we are glad to share with you some figures. Within this project, we had four iterations:
1. The first one took place in Analamanga on September 2-4, 2022
2. The AE TOT National on April 21-23, 2022,
3. The AE TOT Mahajanga that took place on November 1-4, 2022
4. The AE TOT Fianarantsoa from May 17 to 20, 2023.

In total, through this program, we have trained 105 trainers and reached more than 1100 English Language Teachers from more than 10 regions for the first re-echo workshop and about 70 EL Teachers more for the second and third re-echo workshops for some trainers.

We would never be thankful to the Embassy in Madagascar and in Comoros for their support Manoina Rajaonarivelo @ Ravaka Rabeharinandrasana , Jessica, Fitia and BRADEEN for this great initiative. Thank you for your trust!

Day 4 – That’s a wrap for today’s last training session!

Congratulations to the 25 English teachers who have completed the intensive four-day AETOT workshop that ran from May 17, 2023 to May 20, 2023 in Fianarantsoa.

During the workshop, the participants learnt how to use American English (AE) teaching resources such as reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. They have also explored a variety of modern teaching techniques. Since they are now trainers, they are going to train other English teachers from their respective regions through leading workshops and designing AE-related teaching plans, which is called “Re-echo workshop”.

We, LOVA Association’s team, wish best of luck to all the newly trained teachers!

We would also like to reiterate our warmest thanks to the US Embassy especially BRADEEN for having designed this empowering project, the M&E and AETOT teams for their willingness and commitment in training the participants throughout this four-day workshop.

Day 2️⃣ - What a day full of exchange, sharing and learning!

Today’s workshop was led by the Training of Trainers (TOT) team that engaged the participants into fun and interactive activities. They were taught about how to navigate American English (AE) website and to appropriately use AE teaching tools and resources for the reading and writing skills.

As a reminder, there are there stakeholders within the AE TOT Project: Thé TOT or Trainers of Trainers team, the M&E team and LOVA team.

🇺🇸🇲🇬25 English teachers from Antsirabe, Fianarantsoa and Toliara have been selected to take part in the fourth edition of American English Training of Trainers (AETOT) workshop in Fianarantsoa for four days.

AETOT is initiated and sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and organized by LOVA Lanja Omena Vokatra hAharitra. The four-day training is an opportunity for the participants to get familiar with the American English teaching and learning materials developed by the U.S. Embassy. Upon completion, they are expected to share the teaching techniques and resources they acquired during the training with their respective English teaching communities.

As planned within the AE TOT project, the follow up workshop for Mahajanga iteration was held yesterday April 25, 2023 at the American corner Mahajanga for the trainers in Mahajanga and at the American corner Antananarivo for the AE TOT Team.

It was an opportunity for the 20 trainers to share their experiences during their re-echo workshops and for the M&E team to present the evaluation of the project : successes, challenges and recommendations to the stakeholders.

Again congratulations to the trainers for the completion of their re-echo workshop and we encourage them to pursue their effort in promoting the AE TOT : sharing the AE resources and the modern teaching techniques and methodology.
