A bit of a late summary from Club Alpbach Montenegro’s participation at 🇲🇪🇪🇺🇦🇹

🔥 We organised a fireside chat, “EU Enlargement behind the curtains: The case of Montenegro”, with Montenegrin MP Gordan Stojović.

🎤 CAM President Valentina Ostojić spoke at “Inequality, discontent, and a new social contract”, alongside Lea Ypi and Oliver Rathkolb, moderated by Marie Ringler.

🌍 Valentina also joined the FES Southeastern Europe Regional Office | Sarajevo - supported panel “Beyond borders: The Social Cost of EU Enlargement”, alongside Berta Lopez Domenech and Mirna Jusic, moderated by Adi Ćerimagić .

🤝 Together with Club Alpbach Macedonia 🇲🇰, Club Alpbach Belgrade 🇷🇸 and Initiative Group Alpbach Sarajevo, we co-hosted the fireside chat “What does it actually mean to be connected in Europe?”, with Valentina among the speakers.

🔐 Together with clubalpbachkosovo, we co-hosted “Privacy is dead: Property rights for the digital economy”, featuring Prof. Co-Pierre Georg.

🌐 And, of course, Club Alpbach Montenegro was also represented at the International Bazar, sharing a little bit of Montenegro with the Alpbach community.

We’re thrilled to share that Valentina Ostojić , President of Club Alpbach Montenegro, will once again take the stage at this year’s European Forum Alpbach (EFA) ! 🎉

Valentina will join the panel “Beyond Borders: The Social Cost of EU Enlargement”, exploring the social side of EU enlargement — from labour mobility and access to welfare to the inequalities between old and new member states.

The Treaty of Accession of Montenegro into the EU is being drafted by a specialized ad hoc Working Group.

Montenegro has 15 more negotiating chapters to close until the end of this year (out of 33) while the voting in the parliaments of the member states is starting in 2027.

The discussion will look beyond the political side of EU enlargement and explore the complex reforms and economic transformation required on Montenegro’s path to EU membership. Gordan will share insights from his daily work on reform design, negotiations, and Parliamentary advocacy, as Montenegro moves closer to completing its accession process.

The discussion will be moderated by Valentina Ostojić from the CAM.

We’re happy to announce that CAM President Valentina Ostojić will be speaking at this year’s European Forum Alpbach (EFA) ! 🎉
