Tech startups from the Republic of Moldova now have until 9 August 2026 to apply for the opportunity to join the Moldova national delegation at Slush 2026, one of Europe's leading startup and technology events.

On 18–19 November, eight selected startups will showcase their solutions in Helsinki, connect with international investors, accelerators, founders, and potential business partners, and gain valuable visibility within the global innovation ecosystem.

If your startup is Series A or earlier, was founded in 2016 or later, and is building a scalable technology product or business model, don't miss this opportunity.

Our donors and partners—the European Union and France—have joined us at the Seaside Startup Summit Armenia 2026.

At the opening of the Summit, Frank Hess, Head of Cooperation section at European Union in Armenia, delivered remarks highlighting the importance of supporting Armenia’s innovation ecosystem and creating new opportunities for emerging talent and entrepreneurs.

We were also pleased to welcome HE Olivier Decottignies, Ambassador of France to Armenia Ambassade de France en Arménie, who visited the Summit, met members of the startup community and discovered the Talent Generation Track - proudly supported by EU4Innovation East as a Strategic Partner.

Two days into the Talent Generation Track, Sevan Festival City is already full of ideas, new connections and entrepreneurial energy. 🚀

Students, young professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs are working side by side, learning how to identify real-world challenges, test their assumptions and turn promising ideas into impactful solutions.

Guided by international experts participants are gaining practical insights from people who have built startups, strengthened innovation ecosystems and supported entrepreneurs throughout their journeys.

But Talent Generation is about more than acquiring new skills. It is about meeting people with different perspectives, forming teams and discovering what becomes possible when ideas are shared and developed together.

Moldova’s startup ecosystem is steadily growing, but access to early-stage investment remains one of its biggest challenges.

📣 To help address this gap, EU4Innovation East is supporting the launch of ESIL Moldova (Early Stage Investing Launchpad Moldova), a new initiative designed to strengthen the country’s business angel ecosystem and foster a new generation of investors capable of supporting innovative startups with both capital and expertise.

🚀 Over the next two years, ESIL Moldova will provide aspiring and experienced business angels with access to training, mentoring, networking opportunities and connections to established investor communities across Europe.

🤝 The programme will also create opportunities for startup pitching and encourage cross-border investment partnerships, particularly with Romania’s well-established angel investment ecosystem.

Ecosistemul startupurilor din Moldova este în continuă dezvoltare, însă accesul la investiții în etapele incipiente rămâne una dintre cele mai mari provocări.

📣 Pentru a contribui la reducerea acestui decalaj, EU4Innovation East sprijină lansarea ESIL Moldova (Early Stage Investing Launchpad Moldova), o nouă inițiativă menită să consolideze ecosistemul investitorilor de tip business angel din țară și să formeze o nouă generație de investitori capabili să susțină startupurile inovatoare atât cu finanțare, cât și cu expertiză.

🚀 În următorii doi ani, ESIL Moldova va oferi investitorilor de tip business angel, atât celor aflați la început de drum, cât și celor cu experiență, acces la instruire, mentorat, oportunități de networking și conexiuni cu comunități consacrate de investitori din întreaga Europă.

The EU4Innovation East Pitch Contest at VivaTech Paris 2026 highlighted tech-driven solutions addressing traditional business challenges within the Eastern Partnership region. Among the focus areas was the refinement of operational analytics within consumer services.

The Solution:

🥉 3rd Place Winner: Oto from Moldova was awarded third place for its behavioral analytics platform designed for the hospitality sector.

The Challenge: While restaurant operations depend heavily on menu performance, understanding guest engagement—including what items are reviewed, compared, or disregarded—remains difficult for operators to assess systematically.

The Approach: Oto integrates AI-powered digital menus designed to track customer screen interactions in real time.

The Intended Impact: By converting menu interaction data into behavioral insights, the platform aims to minimize revenue loss caused by unmonitored consumer choices.
