International Women's Club of Moldova - IWCM Every year International Women s Club of Moldova organizes the International Charity Bazaar in support of vulnerable women and children from Moldova.

The IWCM is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization that connects expat and local women, helps the expat women to stay connected to the community and raises funds for charitable local projects. The IWCM was started in 1997
The primary goal of the club is to seek out women who are generally new to the area and interested both in meeting other women for fun and friendship, and in charitable works.

🇮🇳 A Historic Diplomatic Evening Honoring the President of India

The International Women’s Club of Moldova was honored to participate in the official reception dedicated to the historic state visit of H.E. Droupadi Murmu, President of the Republic of India, to the Republic of Moldova

This visit marks a truly significant milestone, as it is the first-ever visit by a President of India to the Republic of Moldova since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries. It represents an important step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation, intercultural dialogue, and friendship between India and .

The reception brought together members of the Indian community, representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, business leaders, civil society, and friends of India, creating a unique platform for meaningful dialogue and new international partnerships.

International Women's Club of Moldova - IWCM sincerely appreciates opportunities that foster mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and cooperation among nations. As an international community uniting women from diplomatic missions and the local society, we highly value initiatives that build bridges between cultures and promote lasting international friendships.

7 | Volunteering for World Refugee Day & Celebrating a Meaningful Journey

🤝🌍 The final day of the FAWCO Youth Program Moldova 2026 reflected the very essence of the program—service, compassion, international friendship and community. It was a day dedicated to giving back, celebrating diversity and recognizing the positive impact that young people can make through volunteering

🤲 The morning began at Moldova State University, where participants joined the organizing team of World Refugee Day 2026 – "We Are One Community: Refugee Inclusion in Moldova." Working alongside an international humanitarian organization UNHCR-Moldova, they helped prepare the venue, organize registration, welcome guests, distribute awareness ribbons, guide participants throughout the event and provide logistical support to speakers and organizers. Most importantly, they spent time with children, refugees and vulnerable groups, becoming active volunteers at one of Moldova's largest humanitarian events dedicated to inclusion and solidarity

🎗️ Through their volunteer service, the participants experienced firsthand how compassion, teamwork and civic engagement can strengthen communities and bring people from different backgrounds together. It was a meaningful opportunity to transform the values of the program into real action while contributing to an event that promotes dignity, respect and social inclusion

✨ In the evening, the group gathered for the elegant Charity Ball Hospice Angelus Moldova at Capitoles Park Restaurant, celebrating the successful completion of an unforgettable week in . The evening brought together participants, coordinators, host families, partners and friends of the program to reflect on shared experiences, celebrate new international friendships and recognize the journey that had united young people from four countries through culture, volunteerism and leadership

🌍 As the program came to a close, every participant returned home carrying far more than memories—they left with new friendships, valuable experiences, a deeper understanding of cultural diversity and the belief that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change across communities and borders

6 | Discovering the Nistru Riviera & Rural Moldova

🌿🚤 Day 6 of the FAWCO Youth Program Moldova 2026 took our participants beyond the capital to discover the breathtaking landscapes, traditions and authentic rural life of . Along the banks of the Nistru River, the group with Maria Marinutsa experienced a day filled with nature, local culture, hands-on activities and unforgettable moments

⛴️ The adventure began with a scenic crossing of the River by the official ferry to Molovata Nouă, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience one of Moldova's most picturesque regions. At the Peasant Museum, they immersed themselves in authentic agritourism by harvesting fresh strawberries and raspberries directly from the plantation before taking part in a traditional jam-making masterclass, preparing homemade jam using local recipes in a large outdoor cauldron

🌲 From the museum, the group enjoyed a peaceful hike through a beautiful pine forest, following a trail with panoramic views over the Nistru River before arriving at Laguna Family Resort, where they shared lunch while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of the Left Bank. Later, they crossed the river once again by boat to , taking in the spectacular scenery from the water

🏡 The cultural journey continued with a visit to a local family home in , where participants experienced authentic village life, learned about Moldovan traditions and enjoyed warm conversations with local residents. They then became chefs for an afternoon during a pizza masterclass at Pizza de La Noi, preparing and baking their own pizzas together in a fun and interactive workshop 🍕

🍒 Before returning to Chișinău, the group made one final stop at a local cherry orchard, where they picked fresh June cherries straight from the trees—another memorable experience that allowed them to connect with Moldova's agricultural traditions and natural beauty

✨ This day perfectly combined adventure, culture, local hospitality and meaningful experiences, giving participants an authentic glimpse into the traditions, landscapes and warm spirit of Moldova that will remain with them long after the program ends

5 | Volunteering, Creativity & Making a Difference

💙 Day of the FAWCO Youth Program Moldova 2026 was dedicated to service, compassion and reflection - demonstrating how volunteering can create a meaningful impact on communities while inspiring young people to become active global citizens

🤝 The day began at Moldova for Peace Oamenii Moldova Pentru Pace one of Moldova's leading civic initiatives supporting refugees affected by war and vulnerable local families. Our participants worked side by side with volunteers, sorting and preparing humanitarian aid for distribution. Through this hands-on experience, they gained a deeper understanding of solidarity, community resilience and the importance of humanitarian action

🎨 The group then visited Dopomoha.md, where they took part in a creative workshop focused on volunteerism, exchanging experiences and reflecting on the role young people can play during global crises. Through art and open discussions, participants expressed their personal perspectives on responsibility, empathy and positive social change

🏫 In the afternoon, the participants were warmly welcomed by Qsi International School of Moldova International School of Chișinău, where they shared lunch with the school community before joining the school's Fun & Water Day. The activities created a joyful atmosphere filled with teamwork, intercultural friendships and unforgettable moments, reminding everyone that learning also happens through play, connection and shared experiences

💬 The day concluded with a reflection and feedback session at Hotel, where participants reviewed their experiences, shared personal impressions, worked together on the program video and reflected on everything they had learned throughout the journey. The evening ended with a traditional dinner at La , offering another opportunity to experience 's hospitality and authentic cuisine together with the club members ☺️

✨ Day 5 beautifully demonstrated that leadership begins with empathy, volunteering creates lasting change, and international friendships grow stronger through shared experiences, mutual respect and a common desire to make the world a better place

💙 Day 4 of the FAWCO Youth Program Moldova 2026 offered our international participants a unique opportunity to discover how democracy, civic engagement and humanitarian cooperation shape Moldova's future. The day combined meetings with national institutions, youth leaders and international organizations, providing valuable insight into public service, leadership and social responsibility

🏛️ The morning began with a special visit to the Parlamentul Republicii Moldova Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, where participants explored the building, visited the main plenary chamber and took part in an engaging discussion with Members of Parliament on youth policies, civic participation, education, European integration and social initiatives. We sincerely thank Ms. Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei, Ms. Marina Morozova and Ms. Ana Calinici for their openness, inspiring dialogue and warm welcome

🎓 In the afternoon, the group met with the FLEX Alumni Moldova (Future Leaders Exchange) team and alumni, discussing international educational opportunities, leadership, personal development and the lifelong impact of youth exchange programs. The exchange of experiences encouraged participants to continue building international friendships and investing in their own leadership journeys

🏺 The cultural program continued with a visit to the Muzeul Naţional de Istorie a Moldovei National Museum of the History of Moldova, where participants explored Moldova's rich historical heritage and gained a deeper understanding of the country's identity, traditions and historical development

🤝 The day concluded with an important meeting at the UNHCR-Moldova, where participants learned about the organization's work in supporting refugees and vulnerable communities. They also received a volunteer briefing in preparation for World Refugee Day, where they would actively support the organization of one of the country's largest humanitarian events alongside diplomats, government representatives and international organizations

✨ Every new day of the Youth Program continues to broaden horizons, strengthen international friendships and demonstrate that young people can become powerful ambassadors of cooperation, compassion and positive social impact

💙 Another inspiring day of the FAWCO Youth Program Moldova 2026 brought together learning, volunteering and meaningful connections

🏛️ The day began with a guided walking tour of , led by the wonderful guide Victoria Stroncha, who introduced our international participants to Moldova's history, culture and most iconic landmarks. It was an opportunity to better understand the country's identity and discover the stories behind its capital city

🌱 The highlight of the day was the visit to M4P Hub Oamenii Moldova Pentru Pace, where participants took part in a Community Impact Activity. Together with the founders, they brainstormed ideas for developing an outdoor community space supporting vulnerable groups, contributed to the design of the area, discussed social entrepreneurship, community engagement and explored how small local initiatives can create meaningful and lasting social impact. The activity also included a shared lunch and open discussions with the founders of the Hub

🌆 In the afternoon, the group enjoyed free time exploring the streets of , experiencing the city's atmosphere before coming together once again for dinner, where they reflected on the day's experiences and strengthened the friendships that continue to grow throughout the program

🏺 During their full day in Moldova, the participants visited the "Arta Rustica" Handicraft Center in Clișova Nouă, where they discovered traditional crafts and local heritage. They then spent meaningful time with children at Casa Angelus, sharing interactive activities, conversations and smiles

❤️ The journey continued to the beautiful Curchi Monastery and the breathtaking Old Orhei Cultural and Natural Reserve, where they explored one of Moldova's most iconic historical and cultural landmarks, including the famous cave monastery

⛪🌿 The day concluded with a traditional Moldovan dinner in , where the group experienced the country's authentic hospitality and cuisine

🌍 The first day became a wonderful introduction to — its rich cultural heritage, warm-hearted people and the values that connect communities across borders. It also marked the beginning of new international friendships and meaningful cultural exchange that will continue throughout the program

💙 The International Women's Club of Moldova was delighted to welcome the participants of the FAWCO Youth Program Moldova 2026 — Cara, Alex, Jack, Alexandr and Jeremy — representing the United States, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Portugal. This unique international cultural and volunteer exchange program offered young people an opportunity to experience Moldova through its people, traditions, history, volunteerism and international friendship

✈️ The first day marked the participants' arrival in Moldova and the beginning of an unforgettable journey. During their first evening together, the group met their coordinators, got to know one another, shared their first impressions of Moldova and enjoyed a warm welcome dinner in a friendly atmosphere. It was the beginning of new friendships, cultural exchange and an exciting week ahead

🏡 A special thank you goes to our wonderful IWCM host families, who generously opened their homes and hearts to two of our young participants. Your kindness, care and hospitality will allow them to experience the true spirit of Moldova—not only through its beautiful places, but through the warmth, generosity and everyday life of its people. Thank you for being such an important part of this journey!
