🌐 Universal Acceptance (UA) Day 2026 demonstrated growing global momentum toward a more inclusive and multilingual Internet.
This year, 5,851 participants joined events across 30 countries and territories - including Moldova - with an increased focus on moving from UA awareness to practical implementation through hands-on adoption and technical capacity building.

🌍 În luna iulie, Asociatia "Comunitatea Internet" a participat la Geneva Digital Week, care a reunit trei evenimente internaționale majore, organizate sub egida Organizației Națiunilor Unite, a Uniunii Internaționale a Telecomunicațiilor și a organizațiilor partenere:
🔹 Global Dialogue on AI Governance
🔹 WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2026
🔹 AI for Good Global Summit 2026

👥 Evenimentele au reunit factori de decizie, organizații internaționale, comunitatea tehnică, mediul academic, societatea civilă și sectorul privat pentru a discuta despre guvernanța inteligenței artificiale, cooperarea digitală, guvernanța Internetului, securitatea cibernetică, incluziunea digitală și dezvoltarea digitală durabilă.

🤝 Programul a inclus, de asemenea, întâlniri cu parteneri și colegi pentru a discuta inițiativele actuale și a explora oportunități de colaborare viitoare.

🌍 This July, the Comunitatea Internet Association participated in Geneva Digital Week, bringing together three major international events convened by the United Nations, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and partner organizations:
🔹 Global Dialogue on AI Governance
🔹 WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2026
🔹 AI for Good Global Summit 2026

👥 The events brought together policymakers, international organizations, the technical community, academia, civil society, and the private sector to discuss AI governance, digital cooperation, Internet governance, cybersecurity, digital inclusion, and sustainable digital development.

🤝 The programme also included meetings with partners and colleagues to discuss current initiatives and explore opportunities for future cooperation.

💻🌐 Găzduit de Asociatia "Comunitatea Internet" și STISC, evenimentul de două zile a reunit profesioniști din domeniul Internetului din întreaga regiune pentru discuții relevante, sesiuni tehnice, ateliere practice de instruire și schimb de cunoștințe axat pe dezvoltarea Internetului, infrastructura de rețea, securitatea cibernetică și aspecte conexe ale guvernanței Internetului.

🇲🇩 Reprezentanții Asociației Comunitatea Internet au participat la cea de-a treia consultare cu stakeholderii societății civile privind implementarea celui de-al Doilea Protocol la Convenția de la Budapesta privind criminalitatea informatică.

🔎 Discuțiile s-au concentrat pe perspectivele societății civile referitoare la accesul transfrontalier la probe electronice, aplicarea practică a Protocolului, precum și pe garanțiile necesare pentru protejarea drepturilor omului, a statului de drept și a protecției datelor.

🤝 Evenimentul a fost organizat de Comitetul Convenției privind criminalitatea informatică, cu sprijinul proiectului CyberSPEX, o inițiativă comună a Comisiei Europene și a Consiliului Europei.

🇲🇩 Representatives of the Association Comunitatea Internet took part in the third consultation with civil society stakeholders on the implementation of the Second Protocol to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime.

🔎 The discussion focused on civil society views on cross-border access to electronic evidence, practical implementation of the Protocol, and the safeguards needed to protect human rights, the rule of law, and data protection.

🤝 The meeting was organised by the Cybercrime Convention Committee with the support of the CyberSPEX Project, a joint initiative of the European Commission and the Council of Europe.

🇲🇩 Delegates from Moldova took part in , held on 26–27 May and supported by the and . The event brought together more than 800 participants from governments, international organisations, the private sector, civil society, and academia.

🌐 Under the theme “European Voices for the Future of the Internet – the Beginning of a New Internet Governance Era,” the discussions focused on some of the most pressing digital policy issues, including deepfakes, generative AI, digital information ecosystems, the use of AI in public services, cybersecurity, and ways to address online violence and AI-driven discrimination.

💬 The event provided an important platform for exchanging views on how to build a secure, inclusive, and resilient digital environment in Europe, grounded in human rights, democratic values, and multistakeholder cooperation.

🤝 EuroDIG 2026 once again highlighted the importance of dialogue, innovation, and capacity building in addressing complex challenges related to cybersecurity, human rights online, and democracy in the digital age.
