What a wonderful way to end our Youth Summer Camp!
Today, our participants became young gardeners as they explored plants and soil, learned how to replant them, and discovered what every plant needs to grow healthy and strong.
A special thank you to Elena Condratiuc for leading this engaging experience and sharing her knowledge with our participants.

Yesterday at our Youth Summer Camp, participants continued their STEM journey by discovering more about fish. They explored their structure, practiced scientific observation, and examined fish through hands-on activities inspired by American STEM education approaches.

Enjoy some highlights from Day 1 of our Youth Summer Camp!
Today, participants were introduced to scientific research inspired by American STEM education practices. They explored fruits, vegetables, and plants, discovered their unique structures, and learned how to use microscopes to observe the world from a new perspective.

Today, our American Spaces Volunteers, Alexandrina and Alexandra, moderated “The Story of the American Flag,” a session dedicated to Flag Day and the history behind this important American symbol.
During the session, participants discovered interesting facts about the American flag, explored its meaning, and took part in creative activities and team-building exercises. Through collaboration and discussion, they had the opportunity to learn in an interactive and engaging way.

Here are some highlights from our Meet U.S. session on the Civil War, moderated by Justin Appleman, Peace Corps Volunteer together with Henry McDaniel, Fulbright ETA.
During the session, participants explored the causes, major events, and lasting impact of the Civil War on American history. Through engaging discussions and interactive activities, they had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of this important period, ask questions, and exchange ideas with one another.
Working in groups, participants analyzed historical information and presented what they had learned, demonstrating both critical thinking and teamwork throughout the session.

Yesterday was an extraordinary day for American Spaces Volunteers from Chișinău, Bălți, Ungheni, and Tiraspol as they gathered for the Award Ceremony, marking six months of dedication, learning, and community engagement.
A truly special moment was the presentation of certificates by Nick Petrowicz, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy Moldova, in the presence of Joanne Kramb, Attaché for Education and Culture at the U.S. Embassy Moldova. This recognition reflected their commitment, effort, and the impact they have made across Moldova.
