Help Us Make a Difference: Support Chances For Children

At Chances For Children, based in Lunguja, Kampala, Uganda, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for 54+ orphans, ranging in age from 6 to 18 years old. Our mission is to offer a stable, loving home to children who have been fully orphaned, often from a very young age. Our Approach

We believe in maintaining a

small, family-like setting, allowing us to focus on the individual needs of each child. Unlike larger organizations, we have chosen to stay small, ensuring every child receives the attention and care they deserve. Why Your Support Matters

Our operations are lean, with no senior staff receiving remuneration. This means that every penny donated goes directly towards improving the lives of our children. Your contributions help provide essentials like food, education, and healthcare. Even the cost of your daily cup of coffee can make a significant impact. Just a small donation can feed a child for a month. Spread the Word: Share our mission with friends, family, and on social media to help us reach more people who can support our cause. Join Our Village

The saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." We invite you to be a part of our village and help us create a brighter future for these children. Your support brings smiles to young faces and changes lives. Together, we can make a difference. Thank you for considering a donation to Chances For Children and for helping us bring hope and happiness to our little family of kids in Uganda.

🌟 Update – History Being Made in Bussunju! 🌟

Dear Friends,

We have had so much going on that we have hardly had time to share our news — and we’ve finally come up for air! 💛 There is so much to celebrate.

🎓 Daniel has made history.
Daniel is the first youth in Chances for Children to graduate from college, completing his diploma in Computer Science.

He is now already studying for his Bachelor’s degree in IT at Kampala’s largest university.

From being found on the streets as a young boy, to progressing to university — this is what long-term love, stability and education can do. We are beyond proud of him. (Photos attached.)

And the celebrations aren’t over…

🎓 Winnie and Aisha are graduating this June!
We have two young ladies also completing their college studies this year. Watching these children grow into educated, confident young adults is something words cannot fully capture.

⚡ Electricity is now connected!
Main power has officially been installed at the home — a transformative milestone.

🌍 Internet is installed too! What does this mean? The word is opening up for them!

👩‍🏫 We are in the process of starting online lessons with volunteer European tutors to help the children excel in their studies, gain confidence, and access extra support they simply can’t get in overcrowded classrooms in the coming couple of weeks! This is a huge step forward for their education.

📚 Back to school in Bussunju
The children have returned to school locally and are settling back into routine. Thanks to our donors and St Pauls Church Monaco, we were able to raise fees and and cover all the stationery, uniforms and text books to help them to go back to school within walking distance!

🚿 Bathroom block nearly complete
The new bathroom block is almost finished — improving hygiene, dignity and daily life.

This is what consistent support creates.
Real change. Real futures.

Progress you can see 🧡💛💚

Martin is on the ground in Uganda today showing the girls’ bathroom wall going up — 🧱🚧🏗️
Brick by brick, dream by dream. The children are SO excited to watch their new 🚽🚿 space come to life. ✨

And as we build, we’re also starting our Christmas gift fundraising to make sure every child feels the magic of the season. 🎁
Every contribution, big or small, truly lights up their world.

Thank you for helping us change lives — together.

Can you help a young, hard-working student nurse build her future? 💛

Our eldest are leaving the nest and finishing further education!!! (Yes finally!)

It’s been 11 years since we started Chances for Children, and it’s incredible to see our eldest now stepping into independent life and chasing their dreams!
✨ Daniel has just finished a 2-year IT diploma and is heading to the top local university to study Artificial Intelligence.
✨ Winnie is studying cosmetology at college while working on the side to support herself.
✨ Aisha is completing her internship in hospitality, building real-world skills and confidence as she prepares for employment.

And then there’s Melissa 💛
She’s one of the brightest and most determined young women we’ve ever had in the C4C family. Her dream is to become a doctor, but for now she’s taken the first big step — she’s made it into nursing school and is working night shifts in A&E to gain experience and earn a small income when she can.

We’re currently raising €1,260 to cover her first semester of nursing school, including a few one-off costs (like her laptop and vaccinations):
📚 Tuition & accommodation – €636
🍽️ Food & upkeep (4 months) – €244
💉 Hepatitis B shots – €49
💻 Laptop – €245
👕 Clothes – €49
👟 Shoes (2 pairs) – €37
Going forward, only tuition, accommodation, and food/upkeep will be ongoing — around €880 per semester (≈ €220 per month).

We’d love to find a kind-hearted ongoing sponsor to help Melissa continue her studies and take her one step closer to her dream of becoming a doctor.

If you — or someone you know with a background in the medical field (or simply a passion for helping others!) — would like to join her journey, please reach out. Even a small monthly contribution can make a huge difference. 🌿

At Chances for Children, every euro donated goes directly to the children. Our entire European team works voluntarily, and we maintain full transparency — invoices for all expenditures are available on request, shared immediately with donors who contribute.
