🌟 Update – History Being Made in Bussunju! 🌟
Dear Friends,
We have had so much going on that we have hardly had time to share our news — and we’ve finally come up for air! 💛 There is so much to celebrate.
🎓 Daniel has made history.
Daniel is the first youth in Chances for Children to graduate from college, completing his diploma in Computer Science.
He is now already studying for his Bachelor’s degree in IT at Kampala’s largest university.
From being found on the streets as a young boy, to progressing to university — this is what long-term love, stability and education can do. We are beyond proud of him. (Photos attached.)
And the celebrations aren’t over…
🎓 Winnie and Aisha are graduating this June!
We have two young ladies also completing their college studies this year. Watching these children grow into educated, confident young adults is something words cannot fully capture.
⚡ Electricity is now connected!
Main power has officially been installed at the home — a transformative milestone.
🌍 Internet is installed too! What does this mean? The word is opening up for them!
👩🏫 We are in the process of starting online lessons with volunteer European tutors to help the children excel in their studies, gain confidence, and access extra support they simply can’t get in overcrowded classrooms in the coming couple of weeks! This is a huge step forward for their education.
📚 Back to school in Bussunju
The children have returned to school locally and are settling back into routine. Thanks to our donors and St Pauls Church Monaco, we were able to raise fees and and cover all the stationery, uniforms and text books to help them to go back to school within walking distance!
🚿 Bathroom block nearly complete
The new bathroom block is almost finished — improving hygiene, dignity and daily life.
This is what consistent support creates.
Real change. Real futures.
