César and Magritte Award winner for “Paris Memories”, Virginie Efira has built a career of remarkable range, collaborating with filmmakers including Justine Triet, Paul Verhoeven, and Rebecca Zlotowski. This year, she returns to the Cannes Official Competition with Ryūsuke Hamaguchi’s “All of a Sudden” and Asghar Farhadi’s “Parallel Tales”. Un Certain Regard Best Performance winner for “On a Magical Night”, Chiara Mastroianni has worked with directors including Robert Altman, Arnaud Desplechin, and Christophe Honoré, with whom she most recently reunited for “Marcello Mio”.
