British Council Morocco

British Council Morocco We support peace and prosperity by building connections, understanding and trust between people in the UK and countries worldwide.

The British Council is committed to a policy of equal opportunity. Equal opportunity is focused on legislating against unjustified discrimination and the fair treatment of specific groups. It’s about treating people fairly, identifying and removing barriers that get in the way of this and redressing existing imbalances, so that groups which continue to be disadvantaged gain access to opportunitie.

..s for full participation in the workplace and in wider society. Diversity is focused on making effective use of the differences and similarities between people. It’s about creating working environments that value a range of differences, believing that understanding and managing these can lead to organisational and societal benefit. When we talk about equal opportunity and diversity in the British Council, we focus on 7 main areas:

Age
Disability
Ethnicity/race
Gender (which includes transgender)
Religion/belief
Sexual orientation
Work-life balance
We believe the best way to manage diversity is to ensure that it is built into all processes and functions, considered as part of all policy decisions, and present in the planning of all programmes from start to finish. This is what we mean by mainstreaming diversity

Last week, a delegation from Mohammed VI University of Sciences and Health (UM6SS), including researchers and PhD students, visited the University of Oxford as part of the British Council’s Research Environments grant project: “Learning for Impact: Employing Health Policy and Systems Research to build professional capabilities for improvement, implementation research and learning health systems.”
The visit brought together teams from Oxford and UM6SS for workshops and strategic discussions focused on health policy and systems research, professional capacity development, and future collaboration opportunities.
The project is supported through the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships programme, which aims to build sustainable, equitable, and long-term research partnerships between UK and international institutions.
We look forward to seeing this collaboration continue to grow through future joint activities in Morocco and the UK.

This week, a delegation from Morocco, led by officials from the Ministry of National Education and the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research, is in London for the Education World Forum 2026, the world’s largest gathering of education and skills ministers.

Hosted by the UK government and supported by the British Council, the Forum brings together leaders from over 100 countries to exchange ideas on inclusive, sustainable, and future-focused education systems. This year’s theme “Educating for a shared future: Peace, planet, purpose and pathways,” explores how education can help shape more resilient, equitable, and human-centred societies.

We are proud to support Morocco’s participation and to help foster international dialogue and collaboration in education.

Examples are a great way to develop your ideas in the IELTS Writing test. 🙌

Really great examples follow the same basic principles:

> They’re easy to understand.
> They support your main point.
> They describe a specific situation, not a general idea.
> They don’t repeat words from the sentence before.
> They focus on one idea.

Suggest another possible example for the same sentence in the comments. ✍️
