Mia is doing so well! She has now settled in, made new friends and is a little bundle of joy 💫

Her broken leg doesn’t seem to stop her living her best life, playing, climbing and… putting the others in their place 😉

It will be a while yet before her adoption process can start, so for now, she has some growing to do! Once she’s in Europe, we’ll see what the vet advises about her leg.

It’s official: I AM GOING BACK! 🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦

I’ve only just returned last night, but sitting back and not planning the next mission is simply not an option. There is still so much to do and this time, I will have the two best volunteers with me - my wonderful parents! 🫶

They have supported me from day one of Hearts4Cats and continue to do so to this day, emotionally and financially, and now, the three of us will get to deliver this project on the ground, together.

January 2027 - here we come! ❤️

Mission 8, you were everything I wished for and everything I was terrified of:

Packing (and lugging around!) this massive bag isn’t my favourite part of rescue work, but it is honestly essential 🫶

The first aid kit has everything I might need when I come across a sick cat or kitten and the folding transporter is perfect when a cat needs rushing to the vet.

I also don’t go anywhere without wet wipes and antibacterial gel as feeding only wet food is a very messy job, but one that I truly believe is best practice for strays.

Speaking of food, that gets replenished multiple times on each round, as it goes so fast - sometimes, the whole lot on a single street corner! Luckily, shops that sell cat food are absolutely everywhere, so it’s easy to buy more.

And lastly, my lucky cat 🥰 This little figurine follows me around the globe and I’m never without it.

These might all seem like very basic items, but on the streets of Marrakech, they’re absolutely essential for an easy feeding round. 🩷

Meet little Mia 💖🐾

This tiny girl was rescued from the streets of Marrakech with a badly healed broken leg. She isn’t even 3 months old, but she has already been through more than she ever should have.

She is now safe, eating well, playing and settling in beautifully at the cat hotel. But we need to find her a long-term home, and we’re hoping that home could be in the UK.

Please share Mia’s story. You never know who might see this and be the person she has been waiting for…

Conference on Animal Rights in Europe class of 2026! 💛

Last week, I attended the CARE conference, which brings together all the wonderful people and organisations that care about the animals and the planet.

Not that long ago, I’d never have thought I’d be amongst some of the biggest fish (no pun intended😉) in the world of animal rights, but here I am, in this very photo!

So many inspiring talks and passionate conversations have happened, but also friends and connections made for life and some behind-the-scenes moments. ✨

I will miss everyone and can’t wait to be back next year!
