Project Soar provides 25 workshops and activities to empower marginalized teenage girls to be leaders

Project Soar's women Empowerment Facilitators are the backbone of our award winning teen girl leadership program. Each week, 60 facilitators at 30+ locations conduct our signature leadership workshops with groups of marginalized teen girls across Morocco and Uganda. Facilitators are instrumental in ensuring the PSB program is a success in their communities. We provide each facilitator a small stipend for her time. Project Soar helps girls stay in school and avoid child marriage.

Earlier this month, Project Soar headed to Copenhagen! We joined Civil Connections at Ungdommens Folkemøde , Denmark's Youth Democratic Festival, to share our mission of helping teenage girls build self-worth, speak up, and shape their own path. 💪✨️

At our tent, we met students and teachers curious about Soar Your Way, our online training platform based on our empowerment program, as well as Talili, our reusable period kit, and Ask Marwa, our menstrual health chatbot answering girls' questions in four languages.

On the “Meet Grassroots Leaders from Abroad” panel and during our workshop, we had the chance to connect with young people, share our experience as grassroots leaders, and explore how young people can create change in their own communities.

Thank you, Civil Connections, for bringing us together with Danish youth and making this exchange happen.💙

Good news: the care gap is narrowing! 💙
Through the Dare to Care model, The Home Is Everyone’s Responsibility project is working with communities in Loudaya, Marrakech-Safi, to challenge traditional gender roles and encourage a fairer sharing of care and household responsibilities.

What happens when girls are given the confidence to speak? 💙 At our “I Am a Public Speaker” empowerment workshop in El Hajeb, in Morocco’s Fès-Meknès region, girls built the confidence to speak up, share their ideas, and express themselves with courage.🎤
Through interactive activities, they practiced speaking in front of a group, developed their voice and body language, learned to organize their thoughts, and worked together to prepare short presentations. Step by step, they turned nervousness into confidence and discovered the power of their own voices. Because when girls are given the space to speak, they gain the confidence to lead, inspire, and create change.✨️
A heartfelt thank you to The Norwegian Embassy in Rabat for making this activity possible through its continued support of girls’ empowerment.💫
