A period should never be the reason a girl misses school, falls behind, or has her future narrowed. 🩸📚

But for many girls, period poverty is still a barrier to education. Without access to products, accurate information, safe and clean facilities, and supportive environments, menstruation can contribute to missed classes, school dropout, child marriage and early motherhood.

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, we are calling attention to as an education issue, a health issue, and a rights issue. ✊🏼

Two of our Soar Girls, Maryem and Roumaissa, travelled to Côte d’Ivoire with our Program Coordinator Salima to take part in the Adolescent Girls Summit organized by 🌍🩵

Surrounded by girls from across Africa, they shared ideas, built leadership skills, and co-led a workshop on girls’ empowerment. 💫

It was an inspiring experience filled with powerful voices, bold ideas, and young leaders showing what’s possible when girls are given the space to lead. 🚀
