"In the heart of rural silence, you hear the loudest stories of connection and diversity."

Hello everyone 🌿
I’m Amina Alaoui, currently in Alcalá la Real, Spain, taking part in the project alongside wonderful volunteers from Spain, Hungary, Turkey, and Morocco 🇪🇸🇭🇺🇹🇷🇲🇦
Here, I’m involved in various activities one of the most rewarding is practicing English with adults at Arcipreste de Hita. I truly admire their curiosity and determination to keep learning, no matter their age.
One of my favorite moments each week is our walk with de la Torre a simple yet meaningful way to explore life in rural areas and connect with the people who make it special 🚶‍♀️🌻
I’m deeply enjoying my time in this peaceful and welcoming town, where diversity feels natural and kindness is part of everyday life.

Regards to everyone,

I am currently in Alcalá la Real, Spain, 🇪🇸 taking part in the LearnInRural project with the European Solidarity Corps. During this experience, I’ve had the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, take part in activities with local communities, and share cultural moments that have enriched me personally. I especially enjoyed working with children and speaking with elderly learners who are so motivated to continue learning. We also explored the history and nature of the region, including the beautiful olive fields that reminded me of the calm and welcoming atmosphere of my hometown Agdz.

I am truly grateful to Agdz Volunteers Without Borders for giving me this opportunity, and I would like to express special thanks to Mr. Abdelbasset Bahaddou for his continuous support and trust. This experience will remain an unforgettable part of my personal and cultural growth.

Salam everyone,
My name is Abdelouafi, and I’m currently in Alcalá la Real, Spain, taking part in the Learning Rural project.
One of my favorite parts of this experience is teaching English to elderly Spanish people it’s been really fun and inspiring to see how motivated they are to learn something new.
This project started on October 17th and will continue until November 30th, and I’m really enjoying every moment of it!
It’s amazing to share a bit of my culture while learning from theirs too 🇪🇸✨

I also want to thank my organization Agdz Volunteers Without Borders for giving me this wonderful opportunity, and a special thanks to Mr. Bahaddou, the president, for his continuous support and trust 🙏🌍

My name is Aicha Ait Si am a participant from Agdz Volunteers Without Borders, in project LearnInRural in Spain so, During the one And a half month participation in the LearnInRural project, I discovered a new culture and met people from diverse backgrounds. We carried out engaging activities with children, learned Spanish through daily communication, and conducted interviews with migrants from different countries. This part of the project was especially meaningful to me, as it allowed me to learn about their life stories and challenges. From these encounters, I concluded that social and economic conditions are the main reasons that drive people to migrate in search of a better and more dignified life.

During the project, we visited important historical landmarks in Alcalá LA Real and learned about its history. I noticed that the lifestyle there is quite similar to my hometown Agdz, in terms of calmness and simplicity, though Alcalá is more diverse with its mix of cultures and nationalities. What caught my attention most was the beautiful natural landscape filled with olive and grape fields. We learned how to care for olive trees,
It was truly a wonderful and enriching experience. I learned new languages, improved my English skills, and deepened my understanding of different cultures. This experience taught me the importance of tolerance, openness, and cooperation among people regardless of their cultural or social backgrounds.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Agdz Volunteers Without Borders and Mr. Abdelbasset Bahaddou for this valuable opportunity and their continuous support.

🌴 A Journey into the Oasis – Where Nature Meets Culture 🌍
As part of The Art of Becoming Together Youth Exchange, participants from Germany, Morocco, and the Czech Republic explored the magical oasis of Agdz discovering centuries-old palm groves, local traditions, and the harmony between people and nature.

From walking through green paths and talking with locals, to learning how life in the oasis inspires sustainability, this visit reminded us of the beauty of slowing down and truly connecting with the earth, with each other, and with ourselves. 🌞💧

My very first exchange abroad 🇹🇷✨ and wow… Muş really left a piece of itself with me. I found this opportunity through an AGDZ Volunteers Without Borders live video, and it turned into way more, it turned into laughs, friendships, memories I’ll carry forever and the best Çig kofte I’ve ever had.
The week was a mix of learning and living. From late-night talks with the Bosnian girls in our hotel room and wandering through little city shops… to sitting in workshops where we talked about disasters, volunteering, and how to act when life shakes.
We worked with GENÇBİRİKİM and ONKOSEV, two amazing associations here in Turkey. Their missions touched me deeply: Hearing Sali’s story, how his own fight with cancer inspired him to create GENÇBİRİKİM, was honestly emotional. It reminded me why community and connection matter so much.
We also had debates about what volunteering means, shared our countries’ earthquake stories at Muş University, and played little games that somehow taught us big lessons. And then there were the soft moments: the lakes, the castles, the bridges… all these simple but unforgettable snapshots.
It all ended with the Earthquake Summit, learning, reflecting, saying thank you to AGDZ and GENÇBİRİKİM, and realizing just how much this first exchange meant to me.
It wasn’t just a project. It was people. It was kindness. It was feeling like a family in a city I’d never been to before. And I’ll always remember Muş for that 🤍✨ One day, I hope I get to show my new friends from the exchange around Morocco and give them the same warmth they gave me.

عندما رأيت إعلان فتح باب المشاركة في مؤتمر حول موضوع يهم #البيئة #والصحة، قلت في نفسي: يجب أن أكون هناك، فهذا مجال تخصصي الجامعي ومن أروع الميادين التي أهتم بها.
أرسلت ملف ترشحي إلى ، وتم قبوله، فبدأتُ إجراءات السفر في الأسبوع الأخير. كان كل شيء على ما يرام. نحن ستة شباب نمثل المنظمة، وبالتالي نمثل #المغرب الحبيب بالإضافة إلى دول متعددة: #البرتغال، #أذربيجان، #إيطاليا، #إسبانيا #وتركيا.
فريقنا متميز جدًا، يضم طلبة من كلية الطب، وطلبة من الهندسة، وباحثين شباب... وكان اليوم الأول مخصصًا للتعارف وكسر الجليد، حيث تخللته أنشطة بيئية تعرّفنا من خلالها أكثر على الموضوع، إلى جانب ألعاب وأنشطة تفاعلية أضفت على اللقاء طابعًا ممتعًا وجعلت الوقت يمرّ بسرعة وجمال.
