CorpsAfrica/Maroc

CorpsAfrica/Maroc هيئة أفريقيا المغرب منظمة مدنية تقوم بتكوين الشباب المغربي للتطوع بالقرى النائية والبحث بشكل تشاركي على الحلول المستدامة للساكنة...

Volunteers:

CorpsAfrica/Maroc volunteers will be a diverse group of people – both genders and all ages, income levels, types of expertise, etc. After being selected through a rigorous screening process and attending an intense three-week training program in the capital city and onsite visits, CorpsAfrica/Maroc Volunteers will move to their sites, where they will live with host families, learn loc

al dialects, participate in day-to-day activities, and become trusted members of the community. They will engage local people in conversations and facilitate community meetings to identify and address changing and complex local needs in education, health, small business development, urban planning and infrastructure, agriculture, the environment, and more. The volunteers will help communities determine their priority needs, design and implement “piecemeal” projects to address those needs and then perform comprehensive impact evaluation analyses. Training:

Volunteers undergo an intensive four-week pre-service training program, which includes on-site visits, presentations and discussions led by academics and NGO leaders. We teach the art of facilitations, the variety and work of NGOs in the country, and the importance of monitoring and evaluation. Pre-service training also includes a weeklong trip to a typical host community to experience a remote, high-poverty area and see first hand the issues and potential projects they will work on. Each trainees receives certification in the first aid and CPR. Service:

After an elaborate swearing-in ceremony, the CorpsAfrica volunteers move to their sites for the remainder of the year, where they live with host families, learn local customs, participate in day-to-day activities, and become trusted members of the community. They lead change by engaging people in conversations and facilitating community meetings to identify and address changing and complex local needs in education, health, small business development, urban planning and infrastructures, agriculture, the environment, and more.

Today, we celebrate the launch of a community threshing machine (La Batteuse), the project designed by the community to make every harvest more efficient, more affordable, and more rewarding for local farmers.

Together, we are working toward:
🌾 Reducing cereal threshing costs by 40% for at least 100 agricultural households.
⏱️ Cutting threshing time by 50%, allowing farmers to harvest faster and focus on what matters most.
🌱 Reducing post-harvest crop losses by 80% during the first agricultural season.
