ضمن فعاليات اليوم العلمي لكلية طب وجراحة الفم والأسنان، شاركت لجنة حقوق الإنسان والسلام (SCORP) بأحد أنشطتها التي حملت عنوان "خلف الابتسامة إنسان".💚

ركّز النشاط على توعية الحضور بالعلاقة الإنسانية بين الطبيب والمريض، من خلال تسليط الضوء على واجبات الطبيب تجاه مريضه، وكذلك واجبات المريض تجاه طبيبه المعالج، بما يعزز الاحترام والثقة المتبادلة بين الطرفين.

كما تناول النشاط جانب الخوف والقلق الذي يواجهه بعض المرضى تجاه أطباء الأسنان، وأهمية التعامل الإنساني والطمأنينة في خلق تجربة علاجية أكثر راحة وأمانًا.

وتأتي هذه المشاركة ضمن جهود اللجنة في نشر الوعي بحقوق الإنسان وتعزيز الجانب الإنساني داخل المجال الطبي.

As part of the Scientific Day activities of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery, the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP) participated with an activity titled “Behind Every Smile, There’s a Human.” 💚

The activity focused on raising awareness about the human connection between doctors and patients by highlighting the responsibilities of doctors toward their patients, as well as the responsibilities of patients toward their treating doctors, promoting mutual respect and trust between both sides.

It also addressed the fear and anxiety many patients experience toward dentists, emphasizing the importance of empathy and reassurance in creating a more comfortable and safe treatment experience.

This participation comes as part of the committee’s ongoing efforts to spread awareness about human rights and strengthen the humanitarian aspect within the medical field💚

اختُتمت اليوم فعاليات ورشة عمل Suture Procedure التابعة للجنة التدريب الطبي (SCOME)، بإشراف الدكتور هيثم المهدوي، وسط أجواء مليئة بالتفاعل والتطبيق العملي.

شهد اليوم الأخير استمرار التدريب على أساسيات الخياطة الطبية، مع حرص الطلبة المشاركين على تطوير مهاراتهم والاستفادة من الجانب العملي للورشة.

وتأتي هذه الورشة ضمن جهود اللجنة في دعم الجانب المهاري وخلق بيئة تعليمية تجمع بين المعرفة والتطبيق والخبرة العملية.

لأن كل مهارة تُتقن تبدأ بتجربة، وكل تجربة تقود لخطوة أكبر.🩶

The second and final day of the Suture Procedure workshop organized by the Medical Education Committee (SCOME), under the supervision of Dr. Haitham Al-Mahdawi, concluded today in an atmosphere full of interaction and hands-on practice.

The workshop continued focusing on developing basic suturing skills, with enthusiastic participation from students eager to strengthen their practical experience.

This workshop comes as part of the committee’s efforts to support students’ practical skills and create an interactive educational environment that combines knowledge, practice, and experience.

ضمن أجواء تجمع بين التعلّم والتطبيق العملي، أُقيم أول أيام ورشة عمل Suture Procedure التابعة للجنة التدريب الطبي (SCOME) ، بإشراف الدكتور هيثم المهدوي.

شهدت الورشة تفاعلًا مميزًا من الطلبة المشاركين، حيث ركّزت على تنمية المهارات الأساسية في الخياطة الطبية وتعزيز الجانب العملي من خلال التدريب المباشر والتطبيق.

وتأتي هذه الورشة ضمن جهود لجنة التدريب الطبي في دعم الجانب المهاري لدى الطلبة وخلق بيئة تعليمية تفاعلية تجمع بين المعرفة والخبرة والمهارة العملية.

لأن المهارة تبدأ بخطوة، والتطوّر يبدأ بالتدريب.

مقتطفات من ختام أيام حملة التوعية بمتلازمة الأيض، التي نظّمتها لجنة الصحة العامة التابعة للجمعية الليبية لطلاب الطب والأطباء الشباب (LMSA)، والمقامة في الجامعة الليبية الدولية.

شهدت الحملة إجراء قياسات الطول والوزن وحساب مؤشر كتلة الجسم (BMI)، إلى جانب قياس ضغط الدم ومستوى السكر ومحيط الخصر، بهدف تعزيز الوعي الصحي والكشف المبكر عن عوامل الخطورة.

كما تضمّنت الحملة سحبًا على كوبونات مقدمة من مختبر الرازي، شملت فحص InBody وBMI مجانًا، وتحليل الدهون (Lipid Profile) بخصم 50%.

Highlights from the closing days of the Metabolic Syndrome Awareness Campaign, organized by the Public Health Committee of the Libyan Medical Students’ and Young Doctors’ Association (LMSA), held at the Libyan International University.

The campaign included height and weight measurements, Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation, blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, and waist circumference measurements, aiming to promote health awareness and encourage early detection of risk factors.

The campaign also featured a raffle for vouchers provided by Al-Razi Laboratory, including free InBody and BMI tests, as well as a 50% discount on the Lipid Profile test.

Days filled with interaction, awareness, and another step toward a healthier and more informed community.

ضمن اليوم الثاني من سلسلة أنشطة حملة التوعية بمتلازمة الأيض (Metabolic Syndrome)، نظّمت لجنة الصحة العامة نشاطًا في المركز الوطني لتشخيص وعلاج السكري بالمنطقة الشرقية، في إطار جهودها المستمرة لتعزيز الوعي الصحي والكشف المبكر عن عوامل الخطورة.

تضمّن النشاط إجراء قياسات الطول والوزن وحساب مؤشر كتلة الجسم (BMI)، إلى جانب قياس ضغط الدم ومستوى السكر ومحيط الخصر (Waist Circumference)، بما يتيح تقييمًا صحيًا متكاملًا للمشاركين.

كما شمل النشاط تسجيل المشاركين وإجراء سحب على كوبونات مقدمة من مختبر الرازي للتحاليل الطبية Al Razi Medical Lab، تضمنت فحص InBody وBMI مجانًا، وتحليل الدهون (Lipid Profile) بخصم 50%.

As part of the second day of the Metabolic Syndrome awareness campaign series, the Public Health Committee organized an activity at the National Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Diabetes in the Eastern Region, as part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness and promote early detection of risk factors.

The activity included measuring height and weight, calculating Body Mass Index (BMI), in addition to checking blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and waist circumference, providing a comprehensive health assessment for participants.

It also included registering participants and conducting a raffle on coupons provided by Al-Razi Laboratory, which included free InBody and BMI tests, and a 50% discount on the Lipid Profile test.

This initiative comes as part of the committee’s continuous efforts to promote preventive health awareness and strengthen health culture within the community.🧡
