Agenskalns Student Hall is an intercollegiate hall of residence for men and a hospitality school for women, situated in a pleasant part of Agenskalns and well-connected by public transport to the colleges and institutions of higher education in Riga. Agenskalns Student Hall is recognized as an initiative of Public Good by the Republic of Latvia. Social and cultural life is much enhanced by the wel

l-balanced body of residents, undergraduates and post-graduates, from Latvia and overseas, who are studying a large variety of subjects in different universities. By providing good study conditions, the hall is intended to attract highly motivated students and create an environment that will foster academic results that hopefully will be consistently above average. First-year students are able to avail themselves of the experience and guidance of older students and graduates. Study weekends, reading parties and vacation courses are also arranged. The atmosphere in the house is founded on the responsibility and respect for personal freedom of each resident. An applicant is offered a place on the understanding that he will seek to maintain the high standards and family tone which mark Agenskalns Student Hall. Spiritual activities at Agenskalns Student Hall are entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church.

Dārgie draugi,

Te ir mūsu iniciatīva, lai lūgtos par kristiešu vienotību. Gribam veltīt 1000 stundas, lai lūgtos par kristiešu vienotību. Aicinām arī Tevi mūs palīdzēt sasniegt mūsu mērķi - veltīt Dievam 1000 darba vai mācību stundas nodomā par kristiešu vienotību no 18. līdz 25.janvārim, kas ir nedēļa veltīta kristiešu vienotībai.

Pietiek ar to, ka veltam konkrētas mācību stundas vai darba stundas šim nodomam.
Kā to varēsim izdarīt?

Lai veltītu darbu vai mācīšanos, varam izmanto šādus vai līdzīgus vārdus: "Kungs, es veltīšu Tev nākamo stundu par kristiešu vienotību." Vai arī lūgties kādu lūgšanu (piemēram "Tēvs Mūsu / Mūsu Tēvs") un pateikt Dievam nodomu.

Un tā, ka akcijas ietvaros vēlamies saskaitīt lūgšanu stundas, lūdzu aizpildi anonīmu anketu ar stundu skaitu, ko esi veltījis vai apņemies veltīt Dievam šajā nodomā šodien.
