Congratulations to our friends and colleagues at LRT on their 100th anniversary!šŸŽ‰

Lithuanian National Radio and Television continues to be a trusted source of information and an important pillar of Lithuania's democratic and cultural life. Its dedication to public service and independent journalism has made a lasting impact not only in Lithuania, but across the region.
At a time when public service media face growing pressures, LRT continues to demonstrate why strong and independent public media matter, and why they deserve to be protectedšŸ’”

We are proud of our close cooperation and deeply appreciate the contribution of LRT Director General Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė, who serves on the BCME Supervisory Board.

Wishing all our colleagues at LRT continued success and many more years of trusted journalism.

Su gimtadieniu, LRT! šŸ’›šŸ’šā¤ļø

Last week, our colleague Agnese Eke-Cesniece, attended the Nordic AI Media Summit 2026 in Copenhagen. šŸ”·

The summit highlighted how AI is reshaping journalism, newsroom workflows, audience behaviour, and trust. One of the strongest takeaways: in the age of generative AI, authentic human journalism becomes even more valuable.
What also stood out was the strong sense of community throughout the event. It felt like a gathering of people genuinely trying to understand and shape the future of media together.

You can find some of the key insights and reflections from the summit here: https://bcme.eu/en/articles/key-takeaways-from-the-nordic-ai-summit-2026/

I recently had the opportunity to attend Nordic AI in Media Summit 2026 (NAMS2026), held on May 27–28, 2026, probably the most impressive conference I’ve attended lately in terms of actual substance and ideas.
