🔬🧬Lab-hopping with Nucleate Baltics

What better way to explore the Baltic biotech ecosystem than by hopping from lab to lab?

Last Wednesday we took an exciting journey through Riga’s biotech community, with four stops:

•⁠ ⁠Gulbja Laborotorija - We got an inside look at their automated blood sample processing line and learned how robotics are being implemented to make laboratory workflow more efficient.
•⁠ Latvia ⁠MGI Tech - We explored the world of sequencing technology and saw the impressive sequencers and other machines manufactured by MGI.
•⁠ ⁠iGEM Latvia Riga - The team introduced us to their project for this year and gave us a tour of their lab, sharing their work and passion for synthetic biology.
•⁠ ⁠Riga Open Biospace - Wrapped up the day with an introduction to Riga Open Biospace by Andrii Shekhirev, followed by networking and connecting with fellow members of the biotech community.

We are truly grateful to every lab and organisation that welcomed us, shared their work, and made this event possible - and of course, to everyone who joined us for the day!

Join us for an interactive event right here in Riga. We will visit 4 laboratories to grasp what a regular day in a laboratory looks like, what they do there, and most importantly what could your future look like!

What an incredible journey Genesis 2026 has been!

We are proud to celebrate the successful completion of the Nucleate Baltics Genesis Demo Day 2026 at Deep Tech Atelier 2026.

Over the past months, talented and passionate innovators from across Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania came together to transform scientific ideas into impactful biotech and deep tech solutions. Seeing the creativity, dedication, and collaboration of all participating teams has truly been inspiring!
