The Danish Chamber of Commerce recently enjoyed a successful trip to Latgale, combining business insights with cultural experiences.
We visited several impressive companies, each offering presentations and guided tours:
-VTI Avoti in Rēzekne – a factory specializing in glued laminated timber panels made from pine and spruce.
-VS Teks in Preiļi – a knitwear manufacturer producing high-quality garments.
-Specialplast in Daugavpils – a versatile plastics company producing a wide range of plastic components.
We extend our sincere thanks to our hosts for their warm welcome and dedication.
The cultural part of the trip included memorable visits to:
-Šmakovka Museum – featuring a guided tour and tastings of traditional Latgale schnapps.
-Rotko Museum – an inspiring venue showcasing works by Mark Rothko and other notable artists.
-Automobile Museum – displaying vehicles from the Soviet era to the present day.
In the evenings, we enjoyed cozy and delicious dinners accompanied by warm, friendly networking.

The Danish Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2024 Annual Meeting at the Danish Embassy in Riga.
During the meeting, DCC Chairman Jens Thorup provided insights into the political climate and reviewed the association’s activities throughout the year. The Danish Ambassador Morten Jespersen also shared valuable perspectives on the situation in the Baltics.
Special thanks go to the Embassy for graciously hosting the gathering.
The post-meeting networking paired with a lovely dinner at the Grand Palace Hotel strengthened bonds and fostered meaningful connections.

Members of the board of Danish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia participated in Foreign Investors’ Council in Latvia, FICIL’s 25 years anniversary.
The event was a tribute to the organization’s ongoing commitment to fostering a better investment and business environment in Latvia.
It was a grand celebration, bringing together government representatives, ambassadors, partners, and FICIL members.
From the Danish Chambers board participated Kalvis Vanags, Roberts Moncinskis and Anton Thorup, here together with FICIL’s Director Tatjana Guznajeva and board member Reinhold Schneider.

The Kurzeme regional branch of Latvia's largest business association "Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry" (LTRK) organized a competition in which the best Liepaja companies in different categories, in the catagory "A company with significant social impact". was 3 companies in the final nomination. of these was 2 DCC members: AE Partner and RT Metals, AE Partner was the winner of this prize!! RT Metals got the “Sympathy prize” from Altum for a long and successful cooperation on various projects, LSEZ said thank you to AE Partner and RT Metals for being active in investments and for continuous development in Liepája’s Special Economic Zone’s territory.
