Blockhouse Community is a project run by designer Ieva Jakuša, curator Tīna Pēterone, architecture studio SIJA (Kristiāna Erta, Artūrs Tols), and cultural heritage professional Elīza Māra. The project aims to build mutual understanding and cooperation between different groups and individuals in the context of blockhouses. Within this framework, blockhouses are not only a legacy of architecture and

cultural history but also a social phenomenon that has allowed the coexistence of different social groups, age groups, and nationalities for decades.
