Join the Roots of Resilience Youth Exchange in the mountains of Romania 🇷🇴

Have you ever seen a tired Youth Worker?

We have, for sure.

Just 2 weeks ago, created a WorkLab for Youth Workers to explore their needs, their inner resources and how they are when they don't need to be space holders for others.

For 1 week 21 Youth Workers came together to explore how it is to care for themselves, to gain back their strength, improved their cooperation by saying their needs out loud.

Hats Off WorkLab was serving as a space to pause, ground themselves, to explore unresolved patterns and to put in practice new coping strategies that could work better!

P.S. Check out the last picture to see a bunch of Youth Workers, who are energised and ready to step back into holding space for young people! 🤸‍♀️

🌱 Smells Like Green Spirit is a youth exchange for young people who want to slow down, reconnect with nature, and explore simple, practical ways to live greener.

Over 10 days in the peaceful countryside of Latvia, near the forests and fields of Drusti, we’ll dive into green practices, nature-based well-being tools, and everyday habits that support both personal wellness and care for the environment.

Together, we’ll spend time outdoors, live more simply, build community, reduce screen-time, and discover how small green actions can create positive change in our daily lives and local communities.

✨ Smells Like Green Spirit might be for you if you:
🔸 Want to spend more time in nature and less time online
🔸 Are curious about simple green practices and sustainable everyday habits
🔸 Want to explore the connection between nature, wellness and emotional balance
🔸 Enjoy community living, shared responsibilities and hands-on learning
🔸 Care about the environment and want to create positive local impact
🔸 Are open to slowing down, reflecting, sharing and learning together

💵 Travel, accommodation & vegetarian food are covered through Erasmus+ funding.

We are excited to announce that we got 2 Erasmus+ projects approved!

1. A Professional Development Activity: The Nature of Growth - all about equipping Youth Workers with knowledge to use Outdoor Adventure Education in their work with youth!🌲

2. A Youth Exchange: Smells Like Green Spirit - about creating a space for young people to learn more about nature, how to take care of it in a way that the nature can take care of us!🌻

🎒Explore to Learn — an Outward Bound Romania Work Lab

✨This work lab aims to empower youth workers with the skills, tools, and attitudes needed to create engaging and inclusive learning environments, where every participant feels valued, actively involved, and supported in their personal and professional development.

🌲If you are actively working with young people as an educator, youth worker, facilitator, mentor, or community manager and wish to learn more about how to create engaging learning experiences, this could be for you!

8 days of outdoor learning, real expeditions, and hands-on tools for youth workers who want to make a bigger impact.

Be ready for also a 3 day - 2 night outdoor expedition in the mountains, sleeping outside, cooking together! 🍽️

Feeling the pressure of constant change in your work with young people? This is your space to reset, grow, and reconnect.

💬 As a youth worker, you’re often adapting fast, making decisions, and holding space for others.

But who holds space for you?

📍 Lozen, Bulgaria
📅 9–17 July (travel days included)

🌱 What you’ll experience:
• Deep personal growth & self-awareness
• Embodied learning – reconnect with your body as a source of wisdom
• Practical coaching tools for emotional well-being
• Meaningful connections with like-minded youth workers

This activity is designed to support you:
✔️ Build resilience in chaotic situations
✔️ Strengthen communication & leadership skills
✔️ Reflect on your practice and well-being
✔️ Step out of your comfort zone and explore new perspectives

👥 Who is it for?
Youth workers, educators, facilitators, mentors (18+) who are ready to grow, learn, and fully engage in an immersive experience.

Starts plkst. 10:00 no tirdzniecības centra “Olimpia” (Āzenes iela 5, Rīga)

Pulcēšanās no 9:40–10:00 !

Mūs sagaida ~2 stundu brauciens līdz Jūrmalai, kur baudīsim pikniku, atpūtu un labu kompāniju pie jūras. Pēc tam – brauciens atpakaļ uz Rīgu (vai arī izvēlies atpakaļ doties ar vilcienu). Aptuvenais atgriešanās laiks Rīgā ~15:00.

Izbaudīsim pavasari, vēju matos, sauli, kustību, foršus cilvēkus un tās patīkami piekusušās kājas dienas beigās 💥✨
