🇬🇧From dialogue to action.

When we started CED Lux, we believed that empowering young people begins with giving them a seat at the table. On April 24, that belief took a concrete step forward CED Lux was admitted as an observer member of de Jugendrot, the National Youth Council of Luxembourg (De Jugendrot) , during their 2026 General Assembly.

This means being part of the collective voice of 30+ youth organisations shaping youth policy in Luxembourg and beyond. For us, it is more than a membership, it is a commitment to stand alongside those who advocate for young people every day.

The journey continues. 🤝

L'aventure continue. 🤝

🇬🇧 What happens when a room full of people decides to really listen to each other? Something shifts.

On 15 April, our REVEIL team facilitated an Interculturality and Empathy workshop with staff from the Commune of Leudelange. Together, we explored what it means to navigate cultural differences with curiosity and empathy, and what that looks like in practice in daily work and community life.

The exchanges were rich, the engagement was real, and the collaboration with the Commune de Leudelange made it all possible. We are grateful for their commitment to this kind of work.

This workshop is part of REVEIL (2025–2028), supported by the MIFA and co-funded by the European Union. Implemented by IOM Belgium and Luxembourg, the LISKO service of the Luxembourg Red Cross, and the Centre for Education and Dialogue Luxembourg.

🇬🇧 Resilience Lab is built on the belief that change happens when the right people come together. 14 April felt like exactly that.

On 14 April, we joined an information session at Inter-Actions asbl, bringing together representatives from different youth centers across Luxembourg for a moment of exchange and connection. We had the chance to present Resilience Lab, our initiative exploring and building youth capacities through anti-racism education, creative workshops, and youth-led action.

What struck us most was the energy in the room. Genuine interest, thoughtful questions, and a real motivation to collaborate and be part of what we are building. That kind of enthusiasm reminds us why this work matters.
Stay connected to be the first to hear about our upcoming workshops and opportunities to get involved. 🌍

Throwing it back to 14 March.

One room. Countless perspectives.

We joined the Biergerpakt Orientation Day at the ECCL, an event that brought together over 1,000 residents and cross-border workers in Luxembourg for a full day of workshops and discussions around social cohesion and living together.

And we brought our own contribution to the table. Led by Lindita Redjepi, our workshop "Building Bridges: Interculturality and Empathy in Luxembourg" ran twice during the day, gathering a total of 80 people ready to explore culture, empathy, and how to navigate the moments of cultural shock.

This is exactly what REVEIL is about: a four-year initiative bringing together IOM Belgium and Luxembourg, LISKO - Lëtzebuerger Integratiouns- a Sozialkohäsiounszenter, and the Centre for Education and Dialogue Luxembourg to build more inclusive communities across Luxembourg, supported by Ministère de la Famille, des Solidarités, du Vivre ensemble et de l'Accueil and co-funded by the European Union.

Last Saturday, something special happened in Bettembourg.

25 young people walked into the Jugendhaus Beetebuerg and spent an afternoon together asking some of the questions that matter most. What does racism really look like? Where does it show up in our daily lives? And what can each of us do about it?
That was the heart of our very first Resilience Lab workshop on 4 April. And what made it special was not just the content. It was the willingness in the room. Young people showing up, opening up, and engaging with topics that are not always easy to talk about. That takes courage, and we saw plenty of it on Saturday.

This is only the beginning. Over the coming months, Resilience Lab will continue bringing young people together to grow, find their voice, and take action against racism and discrimination in their communities.

A warm thank you to the educators at the Jugendhaus Beetebuerg for their support and for creating such a welcoming space. And to the André Losch Fondation for making Resilience Lab possible.

Stay tuned for more. There is a lot more to come.

You can teach concepts. But you cannot plan for the moments when someone shares a real experience and the whole room shifts. That happened more than once over these two days. It started with a simple question: what does racism actually look like in your daily work? And from there, the room opened up.

On 25 and 26 March, commune staff at the Commune of Roeser spent two days together exploring the many forms racism takes, where it comes from, and what it looks like when it shows up in everyday interactions. More importantly, they left with practical tools to do something about it. What made it special was not the agenda. It was the willingness in the room. People showed up ready to reflect, to listen, and to challenge themselves. That is not something you can plan for. And it is exactly what this work needs.

We are grateful to the Commune of Roeser (Gemeng Réiser) for making this happen. Choosing to invest in this kind of learning is a statement in itself, and a step towards a community where everyone truly belongs.

This training is part of REVEIL, a four-year initiative by IOM Belgium and Luxembourg, the LISKO - Lëtzebuerger Integratiouns- a Sozialkohäsiounszenter, and the Centre for Education and Dialogue Luxembourg, supported by the Ministère de la Famille, des Solidarités, du Vivre ensemble et de l'Accueil and co-funded by the European Union's Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund. 🌍
