🎉 A warm welcome to the Rotary family, Cédric H. Rollmann!

We are happy to welcome Cédric to the Rotary Club Luxembourg Hearts.

As we got to know Cédric, he shared the story of his great-grandfather, Tony Rollmann. His life took him from Luxembourg to Asia and later into the early days of European integration. It was a story shaped by curiosity, an openness to new experiences and a desire to bring people together.

We feel that these qualities can also be seen in Cédric today. From the start, he showed that he wanted to do more than attend meetings. He wanted to get involved, help and play an active role in the club.

That is very much what Rotary is about, and we are pleased to have Cédric with us. We are sure he will make a positive contribution to the life of our club.

Welcome aboard, Cédric — we look forward to the years ahead together !

We were honoured to welcome Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo to Luxembourg for a special visit with the presidents of the Rotary Clubs of Luxembourg and Rotary District 2160.

What an incredible evening of solidarity at the Luxembourg ING Night Marathon 2026 for the “Run and Donate for End Polio Now” project.

The 18 Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Luxembourg came together to support the global fight against polio and showed the power of teamwork and community service. From the information stand at Knuedler Square to the finish line at Luxexpo, more than 50 Rotarians helped bring this initiative to life.

Congratulations to our 26 Rotary runners and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and supported the cause along the way.

Bravo to all the organisers from Luxembourg’s Rotary Clubs ! A very special shout-out goes to our President, Damien Welsch, who coordinated 35 volunteers at Luxexpo from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, helping serve food and drinks to thousands of runners together with RYSE. A massive effort, endless energy and great leadership. A perfect example of Service Above Self in action.

It was a pleasure for our Club to take part in the European Village at Wiltz Castle and celebrate Europe Day together with so many associations, institutions, and visitors 🇪🇺

Throughout the day, we had the chance to share the different dimensions of our Rotary actions — local, European, and international — and to meet many people curious to learn more about our projects and values.

A special focus was on Europe4Europe (E4E), our flagship EU integration project bringing together 27 young Europeans for a 3-week journey across the 6 founding EU countries. E4E is all about dialogue, cultural exchange, active citizenship, and discovering Europe through real human connections. Participants live, travel, reflect, and grow together — building friendships across borders and experiencing what “unity in diversity” can truly mean.

A big thank you to the organisers for such a successful event, and especially to the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg for making our presence possible. Well done Anne Calteux and team for the great organisation and atmosphere throughout the day 👏

Happy Europe Day from Rotary Club Luxembourg Hearts! 🇪🇺

Today, we celebrate the values that unite us across borders: peace, solidarity, democracy, diversity, and cooperation.

As Luxembourg celebrates Europe Day, we encourage everyone to take part in activities across the country but also to join us tomorrow, May 10, at Wiltz Castle from 11:00 to 18:00 for a great programme of festivities.

On 21–22 March 2026, our Rotary Club Luxembourg Hearts volunteered at Relais pour la Vie, a 24-hour solidarity event organized by Fondation Cancer to support cancer patients, survivors, and their families 💛

Our Club took on the role of welcome team at the Coque, greeting participants and visitors, and ensuring a smooth and warm arrival. Thanks to rotating shifts, we ensured a strong volunteer presence throughout most of the event.

It was truly inspiring to witness such a powerful sense of community, with thousands coming together for a shared cause. It also reminded us how even small contributions (only a few hours from each of us!) can add up to a real impact. This is a meaningful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together.

Special thanks to our Lex Hamélius for leading and coordinating our Club’s efforts and making this possible!

Rotary Club Luxembourg Hearts joins the 2026–2027 Rotary District 2160 Assembly — bringing together members from more than 70 Rotary Clubs across Namur, Liège, Luxembourg and the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, representing nearly 2,800 Rotarians working together across two countries. 🌍

A great way to kick off the upcoming Rotary year: aligning with the Governor’s priorities, sharing ideas between clubs, and strengthening our commitment to Rotary’s key areas of focus.

The day was filled with inspiring conversations — from Rotary’s public image, leadership and membership growth, to environmental initiatives, youth engagement, and the continued global effort to End Polio Now. 👏 A very well-organized event — bravo to the organizers!

Congratulations to the current District Governor Alain Lesage, and to the upcoming leadership: Eric Desmidts, Gouverneur 2026–2027, and Paul Weis, Gouverneur 2027–2028.

Wishing you every success in the years ahead. Our club looks forward to working with you and contributing to the continued momentum of District 2160. 🤝

We wrapped up 2025 around a fun Christmas table, reminding us that Rotary is not only about service projects and volunteering, but also about fostering friendships. This reflects the belief of our founder Paul Harris that the power of Rotary is friendship. 🤝

We then opened 2026 by welcoming new energy to the Club: Matilde Micieli, already actively involved since some time and ready to contribute. With a strong Rotaract background and solid leadership experience, Matilde brings valuable skills that will support our work in the year ahead. We’re very happy to have you with us! ❤️

Happy New Year to everyone! 🎉 May 2026 be filled with hope, service, and unity, so we can continue to make a real impact for those who need us.
