And that concludes Europe 4 Europe 2026!

Over the past three weeks, young Europeans have travelled across the six founding EU Member States, discovering Europe’s diversity, building lasting friendships and returning home inspired to help shape its future.

Behind Europe 4 Europe is an extraordinary network of Rotary clubs, volunteers and community partners across the European Union. Through hundreds of hours of work, they give their time, skills and energy in the spirit of Service Above Self to create meaningful opportunities for Europe’s next generation of leaders. They are the heart of the programme—and of Rotary itself.

A big thank-you to everyone who made E4E 2026 possible—especially to our own Ellen Spencer, whose tireless work helps make every edition a success, and to the coordinating Rotary clubs:

• Rotary Club Luxembourg Hearts
• Rotary Club Landgraaf
• Rotary Club Maaseik
• Rotary Club Maasland-Lanklaar
• Rotary Club Meda e delle Brughiere
• Rotary Club Appiano Gentile e delle Colline Comasche
• Rotary Club Thionville Malbrouck
• Rotary Club Thionville Porte de France
• Rotary Club Mosbach-Buchen

We now look ahead to Europe 4 Europe 2028—the programme’s 10th edition and a celebration of 20 years of Rotary volunteers bringing young Europeans together to build understanding, trust and lasting friendships across borders.

We continued discovering Europe from different perspectives on our final day of Europe 4 Europe 2026.

We started at the European Investment Bank (EIB), where Peter Munro introduced our participants to the EIB and its role in supporting projects across Europe.

Next, we visited the Europa Experience, with its interactive exhibition on the EU and an engaging exchange with Dennis WERNERUS from the European Commission’s Representation in Luxembourg.

The day continued at the interactive exhibition “DemokratieLabo”, where participants explored democracy and society through hands-on activities and lively discussions.

A heartfelt thank you to Peter Munro, Dennis Wernerus for their warm welcome and great exchanges.

Day 2 of Europe 4 Europe 2026 continued with our participants from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Luxembourg taking the stage for their “Myself, My Country” presentations—sharing who they are, where they come from and what makes their countries unique. 🌍

Next, our member Cédric Hack Rollmann introduced personal data protection through Leonora, an interactive multiplayer game developed by Luxembourg’s CNPD. Privacy, online risks and the GDPR became much easier—and much more fun—to explore. 🎮🔐

A lively and instructive evening, wrapped up with dinner together and plenty of laughter! 🍽️

🎬 Europe on the big screen!

For Day 2 of Europe 4 Europe, our participants headed to Kinepolis Kirchberg for a screening of "Europe: three cities, one roof"

Directed by Donato Rotunno, the documentary reveals how Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Brussels became home to the European institutions—through people, political battles, compromise and a good dose of improvisation. With the pace of a thriller and a jazz-inspired soundtrack, it offers a fresh and surprisingly fun look at how Europe came together.

These same ideas were recently explored on The Lisa Burke Show (RTL Today), which brought together the film, Europe Day with Anne Calteux and Europe 4 Europe with our own Ellen Spencer. One message came through clearly: Europe is not only about institutions. It becomes real when young people meet, travel, exchange ideas and build friendships across borders. 🎧 Listen here: https://play.rtl.lu/shows/en/in-conversation-with-lisa-burke/episodes/r/2669137

The screening sparked lively conversations about the Europe they are experiencing today—and how their generation can help shape what comes next. 🇪🇺💬

A big thank you to Tarantula Luxembourg and Kinepolis Luxembourg for making this experience possible!

🇱🇺 Europe 4 Europe 2026 – Day 1 in Luxembourg!

Our French Rotarian friends brought the participants to Luxembourg for the final stop of their European journey—and we wasted no time getting started!

First challenge: exploring Luxembourg City through a fun Photo Safari and city quest, solving clues, racing between landmarks and taking plenty of creative pictures along the way. 📸🕵️

We ended the day with a relaxed barbecue and the World Cup—the perfect opportunity to recharge after all that running! 🌭⚽

Europe 4 Europe brings together young people aged 18–21 for an immersive journey across the EU’s founding Member States. Through visits, activities and new friendships, they explore what Europe means today—and how they can help shape its future.

All made possible by Rotarians working together across borders to create meaningful opportunities for young people. 💙💛

A great start to the 2026–27 Rotary year, as our President Francesco Fiaschi and the board welcomed Governor Desmidts Eric for his official visit to our club.

We enjoyed an open and constructive exchange on the year ahead — from strengthening member engagement and making our club even more welcoming, to developing projects that create lasting impact and building closer ties with other Rotary clubs and our local community.

The evening was also a special moment for our club, as Marcello Falconelli and Alexander Ludorf officially joined Rotary Hearts, pinned by the District Governor himself. A very warm welcome to both of you!

Thank you, Governor, for your visit, your advice and your encouragement. We look forward to working together throughout the year to turn our shared ambitions into meaningful, lasting impact.

Back at Poldi’s Summerfest — this year in the Far West 🤠

For the second year in a row, our clubs members and friends volunteered at the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner during the Summerfest mam Poldi, under the theme Welcome to Poldi’s Western Town.

It was a day that showed why these events matter: children having fun, families enjoying a relaxed moment together, and volunteers quietly helping to make it all happen.

A big thanks to our members and friends who volunteered their time and energy to help make the day special and to the Foundation’s team — not only for organising such a beautiful event, but above all for the essential work they carry out every day in support of children with cancer and their families.

We were glad to be part of it again, in our own small way. Moments like these are a simple reminder of what community service is about. See you again soon, Poldi! 🤠❤️

A special evening for our Presidential Handover and Annual General Meeting.

A moment to thank Damien Welsch for a year of dedication, hard work and leadership. Under his presidency, the club has grown stronger, more structured and more engaged — with members bringing ideas, stepping up and taking greater ownership of our shared journey.

Bravo Damien, and thank you for leaving such a strong foundation to build upon.

A warm welcome to Francesco Fiaschi as incoming President, together with the 2026–2027 Board. Congratulations Francesco — we wish you all the very best as you lead the club into this new chapter.

And beyond the formal handover, it was simply a lovely evening around the table — full of friendship, good company and shared celebration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us.

🩸 Give blood. Save lives!

Throughout June, members of Rotary clubs across Luxembourg are taking part in the third edition of the Sang pour Sang campaign in partnership with the Luxembourg Red Cross.

Donating blood or plasma takes little time, but it can make a real difference. A single donation can help save up to three lives.

If you are eligible to donate, there is still time to join the initiative. Simply register on Polaris and book your donation appointment through Doctena.

A special thank you to Marie-Aline Peetermans from Rotary Club Luxembourg-Schuman for leading this initiative and helping it grow year after year. Congrats as well to everyone already involved: the 30 Rotarians from 10 clubs who have committed to donate blood or plasma, the volunteers helping spread the message, and the ambassadors supporting the Luxembourg Red Cross by raising awareness and helping respond when blood supplies are low.

🎉 A warm welcome to the Rotary family, Cédric H. Rollmann!

We are happy to welcome Cédric to the Rotary Club Luxembourg Hearts.

As we got to know Cédric, he shared the story of his great-grandfather, Tony Rollmann. His life took him from Luxembourg to Asia and later into the early days of European integration. It was a story shaped by curiosity, an openness to new experiences and a desire to bring people together.

We feel that these qualities can also be seen in Cédric today. From the start, he showed that he wanted to do more than attend meetings. He wanted to get involved, help and play an active role in the club.

That is very much what Rotary is about, and we are pleased to have Cédric with us. We are sure he will make a positive contribution to the life of our club.

Welcome aboard, Cédric — we look forward to the years ahead together !
