🧩 Europe has always been a crossroads. That is the origin of its strength, built from the exchange of cultures. Border regions have always played a pivotal role in this history and remain key to the future of the European project today.

To keep this spirit alive, the Border Focal Point Network (the European Commission platform for strengthening cooperation in border regions) is searching for young Cross-Border Ambassadors!

🤝 Do you work with or know young people (18–30) living in border regions or interested in cross-border cooperation? Share this call across your network!

🇪🇺 Selected Ambassadors will join the Border Focal Point Network (EU REGIO Interreg) to bring local youth perspectives directly to EU decision-makers.

📜 Participants will work with EU officials, gain access to high-level policy debates, and receive an official Certificate of Completion signed by DG REGIO.

⏳ Deadline: 31 August 2026

Let’s be honest: AI is already part of our everyday lives. There’s nothing to be ashamed of... Even this post might have had a little help from AI! 😉🤖

But as AI continues to evolve, knowing which tools to use, how to use them, and when to use them in youth work can still be tricky.

That’s why we’re back with AI Coffee Break #5! ☕✨

Under the name "Your AI Tools Compass: What to Keep in Mind", the session will offer an open space to exchange practical tips, share what’s worked (and what hasn’t), and explore how we can use AI more thoughtfully in our work.

💡 No long lectures, no technical background needed; just an open conversation, practical ideas and answers to your questions.

As this series gets closer to the present, we arrive in the 2010s, a decade that feels like yesterday, yet transformed the way young people access and engage with information.

Climate change, gender equality, migration, and other global challenges dominated public debate. Young people became leading voices in movements for social change, while social media turned local conversations into global ones and gave activism an unprecedented reach. 🌍✊📱

💻 As digital platforms became the main source of information for many young people, youth information services had to adapt. Their role expanded beyond providing reliable information to helping young people navigate an increasingly crowded media landscape. Developing critical thinking, identifying trustworthy sources, and recognising misinformation became central to youth information work.

📀 Through , we continue looking back at the moments that shaped youth information.

🇧🇪 This week, returns to Brussels to spotlight De Ambrassade, ERYICA's Flemish-speaking member and part of the network since 2007.

In a world where algorithms increasingly shape what young people see online, how can youth information services help them navigate the digital space critically?

One answer is "What's in My Algorithm?", De Ambrassade's web series that encourages young people to reflect on how social media algorithms influence their wellbeing, choices, and online experience.

Discover how De Ambrassade is helping make youth information fit for the age of AI and explore their story below. 👇

🏆 In the latest episode of , we look back at the journey of the European Youth Information Quality Label, from an idea put forward by ERYICA members to a tool that promotes excellence in youth information across Europe.

What started in 2012 as a proposal to recognise quality youth information services took shape in 2019 through our partnership with the Council of Europe. Since then, the Label has grown thanks to the active involvement of both youth information professionals and young people.

🌍 Today, 16 organisations in 12 countries have been awarded the European Youth Information Quality Label, reflecting their commitment to providing reliable, high-quality information for young people.
