On 21st March, iPPL members came together for our Annual General Meeting and an Appreciative Inquiry afternoon — and something special happened.

We mapped our Positive Core, dreamed boldly about iPPL's future, and left with real commitments and two themes to carry us forward: Holding Hope for the rest of 2026, and Courage to Change as we move into 2027. 🌿

Are you an expat or an immigrant?
Did you move for love, opportunity, or someone else’s dream?

At last week's iPPL gathering in Luxembourg, we created a space for honest conversation about identity, integration, and what it really takes to feel at home in a multicultural country. The reflections that emerged reminded us that belonging is not a label or a status — it’s something we build together, over time.

Our latest blog post shares the insights and questions that continue to resonate.

On Tuesday, we had the opportunity to work with staff at Maples Group as part of the company's June Wellness Week.

The workshop, led by our Expert Member and Board Member Frederika Roberts, was well-attended and all participants engaged brilliantly with the activities.

Once we've gone through all the great feedback and testimonials, we look forward to sharing those with you!

If you know of an organisation that would welcome an evidence-informed, interactive, lively workshop (or training course) from iPPL, get in touch ([email protected]), and we'll find the best iPPL Member to deliver what you need.

📣 How Nature Supports Our Mental Health and Well-being 📣
By Laura Lane & Věra Kristensen

We recently had the pleasure of attending the UNature Conference 2025, where experts shared compelling insights on the vital role nature plays in mental health, education, and urban planning.

One standout moment was a keynote by Prof. Howard Frumkin, highlighting how regular access to nature can help address rising mental health challenges in children and teens—like anxiety, ADHD, and loneliness. A powerful example: a greening project in a deprived schoolyard that reduced student dismissals from 30 per year to zero.

As positive psychology specialists, we regularly use nature-based practices—walk-and-talk therapy, outdoor mindfulness, creative nature journaling—to help individuals manage stress, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves and the world around them.

Research continues to show that nature:
* Boosts empathy and pro-social behavior
* Enhances focus, memory, and creativity
* Strengthens emotional regulation and motivation
* Deepens gratitude and connection

We left the conference inspired and grateful to live in Luxembourg, where most of us interact with nature multiple times a week—and many can see trees from our workspaces.

As spring turns into summer, let’s remember to step outside, slow down, and let nature do its quiet, powerful work.

About PPL

Imagine if every individual had the opportunity to flourish in a thriving multicultural Luxembourgish community!

In summer 2018, a group of people with competences in the science and application of positive psychology living in Luxembourg, has met around this vision, and finally, the Association of Positive Psychology Luxembourg asbl (PPL) was founded in January 2019.

Who we are:

PPL is a non-for-profit association promoting the science of positive psychology (PP) and its research-based applications. As the Association of Positive Psychology Luxembourg, we strive to make PP accessible to a wider audience in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
