Leidy's story illustrates how the Preparation for Social Action (PSA) program, created and offered by our partner Fundaec in Colombia, helps participants build on the talents and capacities they already possess and develop new skills that enable them to contribute to their communities and pursue their aspirations with greater confidence and effectiveness!

When you join the Unity Open, you become part of something bigger: this year again, Unity Open contributions go directly to support the educational programs of our partner Ahdieh Foundation in the Central African Republic.

Their work spans three lines of action: Community Schools, which bring education to children in several regions of the country, particularly in remote areas where few or no schools exist; the Preparation for Social Action (PSA) program, which strengthens the capacities of youth and adults in language, mathematics, science, and processes of community life, including agriculture, health and environmental conservation; and a Training Center, which extends learning from the community schools program to organizations across the wider region.

Together, these programs build the capacity of communities to take charge of their own development!
