300 women. 6 sectors. One step towards greater economic empowerment.
In May 2026, Rwanda Women’s Network trained 300 women across six sectors in Bugesera and Kayonza Districts in financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
The training equipped participants with practical knowledge to better manage their finances, explore entrepreneurial opportunities, and build greater economic independence.
As one participant from Ruhuha Sector shared:
> “I have now understood that even with small savings and proper planning, I can begin small activities that improve my family’s life.”
Economic empowerment goes beyond increasing income. It strengthens confidence, decision-making, and opportunities for women and contributes to more resilient families and communities.
Through initiatives like this, we continue to support women in building sustainable livelihoods and contributing to a more equal future.
