🎀 PINK OCTOBER | EARLY DETECTION CAN SAVE LIVES 💗
As a past cancer survivor, this message is deeply personal to me.
Pink October is not just about wearing pink. It’s about raising awareness, encouraging women to take care of themselves and reminding every woman of the importance of breast screening, self-awareness and early detection.
🎀 DON’T WAIT FOR A SIGN. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
💕 Know your body. Take the time to look at and feel your breasts regularly, so you become familiar with what is normal for you. Be aware of any changes, such as a lump, skin dimpling, changes in the ni**le or unusual discharge. If you notice anything unusual, consult your healthcare professional without delay.
💕 Get screened. Mammograms can detect breast cancer before symptoms appear. Follow the screening recommendations based on your age, personal risk and medical history. Remember, self-examination is not a substitute for professional screening.
💕 Act early. Early detection can make a significant difference. The sooner breast cancer is diagnosed, the sooner appropriate treatment can begin, often improving the chances of successful treatment.
💕 Talk about it. Encourage your mother, sister, daughter, friends and every woman around you to be informed, attend recommended screenings and never ignore changes in their breasts.
As a cancer survivor, I know how precious life is and how important it is to listen to our bodies. Prevention, awareness and access to early diagnosis are essential.
Every woman deserves the chance to protect her health. Every woman deserves to be informed. And every woman deserves to take care of herself. 🎀
This Pink October, let’s turn awareness into action. Let’s share this message, encourage screening and remind the women we love to put their health first.
💗 Check yourself. Get screened. Speak up. Early detection matters.
With love,
Laura, La chauve sourit 💕
